I dont really think its that surprising Waghorn was our best player - he scored our first away goal in 85 days - got to be worth some extra points.

Someone has to be the best and it certainly wasnt anyone in the defence. Bielik had to be subbed early to stop himself getting sent off and the rest of the midfield werent great today. Lawrences only major contribution was to get himself suspended again (every cloud and all that) and whilst Marriott got an assist it doesnt count for as much as a goal.

I want what Steve Nicholson has had.

He gave Waghorn 7 out of 10 and had him as our best player!

Waghorn worked 'hard' sure, but his holdup play was mostly played backwards. Preferred Marriott but he's hardly fit enough to stand up, poor love.

Personally I'd give it to Hamer. He stopped some good attempts and he commanded his area. I particularly liked when he came out through Davies and punched him and the ball. MOTM.
