Matlock Old Ram
An interesting discussion on MOTD2 last night about the fact that the top 3 clubs in the premier League are all unbeaten at the beginning of November which is the first time it has happened in the history of English football. Ruud Gullit’s believes that the reason is that all 3 teams play a 433 system with small dynamic intelligent midfielders and quick intelligent forwards who play a high pressing game. This is the way Real Madrid, Barca etc play He also believes that they have some of the worlds best coaches and obviously some of the worlds best players. Im not saying we are the same as these clubs but clearly Frank has picked up that this is the way to play if we want success. Long may it continue. Sparkle
The worlds top players has a lot to do with it, but it is nice to see footballers who dont have to be 6’2 at a minimum and can only do a job at set pieces
RamNut
Maybe its to do with spending hundreds of millions on players every year?

Yes after the Chelsea game a Forest fan in my office commented on the way we played and said it was a very effective way and Barcelona play the same way. I suppose they’re not all dheads. We have a manager that can do it.

Yes, very unlikely that you will hear that 'ever so slight significance' mentioned by a tv pundit.
Van der MoodHoover
We’ve got to judge at the end of the season. sadly, our best placed finish for the last few seasons has been achieved by a team of 6’ plus geriatrics, fronted by a monotonic wing nut. much as I’m hoping we’re going to break that trend, the top echelons of the championship still contains a fair amount of big cloggers. ?
