eddie
What's the longest 'best before' date in the future you have ever seen, or perhaps the most out-of-date item you have consumed (or thought better of consuming)? I am currently drinking a bottle of Geuze Boon, a Belgian Lambic beer - one of my favourite styles - and it has a 'best before' date of 13 December, 2037. sage
My parents had a new kitchen in 1983. When clearing out the cupboards I found a tin of black treacle that had a pre decimal price tag.

It's not being thrown away though. I put a little around the stem of my chilli plants when I grow them. It stops the ants from transporting aphids onto them. Little known fact - ants really do farm aphids in a genuinely symbiotic relationship. Their payoff for their protection is that they collect the honeydew substance that aphids secrete - but not on my bloody chillies they don't. Ants will not walk across Vindaloo powder.
