no, good guess. But both those teams you mention are in groups for non-footballing reasons per se.

Ok hmm mm.

How about convicted owners?

Birmingham  (yeung)

Carlisle (Michael Knighton )

Erm York  (didn't @Tony Le Mesmermention something? )

Dundee  (only cos I can't think of anything else to link them to a load of english clubs)

Dundee, Forest, Liverpool and Chelsea.

Closest grounds to a rival?

nope, Forest has already gone, as an answer in the McClaren group, the other 3 are in 3 different groups.

Wrong reason, but you've got 3 from a group in there.

I'm having to be lead by the hand here.....

The only other thing I could think of is....

Birmingham Carlisle and dundee all play in blue and Birmingham are nicknamed  "the blues". So assume the others are as well and add Chelsea.

So Birmingham Carlisle Chelsea and Dundee are all called the blues.

no, this one is quite a cryptic group, but depending on your specialist knowledge of certain things, you might like it.

Liverpool, Dundee, Carlisle and Sheff Utd.

All connected to the Shankly brothers Bob, Bill and Jimmy.

I know it's not a right answer, but it should be.

nope, you've covered all 3 remaining groups with that. Do I need to give clues?

Funny enough thats what the lawyer said about Gadaffi...... Classic moment in Dundee's recent history, along with  signing Claudio Cannigia..

whenever I hear the word Dundee, I immediately think of other areas. Don't you?
