I seem to have developed a partiality to wheat beer, which is a bad thing given how easily you can pick up Franziskaner / Weihenstephaner from supermarkets

Goes nice with fish and chips though. ;)

Twas on RD the other day, and I only caught the back end of the interview - but there's a Derby brewery who's done a special brew to celebrate the PO final. Not many details to report except it's a pale golden colour.

Thought I'd mention it for all you conniseurs.

Yeah, Greene King & Shephards Neame alike - breweries who's beers all taste the same, ie pretty much flavourless except for an all too familiar backbone.

1698 is pretty decent, especially when it's 4 bottles for £6 at Tesco.

Exceptions that prove the rule, I like the SN stout you see at Tesco but nothing else of theirs unfortunately.

Mickleover Tesco finally have the Sierra Nevada Pale Ale in stock.

Off to pick up a parcel from town so I'll probably nip in to brewery tap and bring something away with me
