Mate of mine who is coming to the game tomorrow actually, he used to go every year religiously but has stopped the last couple of years. Reckons parking is too much hassle, parking is a rip off, no bogs anywhere and it's just wall to wall people.

Matlock Bath IMO isn't really worth visiting anymore. My dentist is there as are my vets which is the only reason for going now. I used to go a lot with the young un but now it's just a row of chippies (9 at last count) amusements and pubs. There is absolutely nothing of any interest there anymore.

Don't let me put you off though man!

They do a park and ride from cromford mills (or at least did)m makes parking easier but can be a pain when everyone wants to go at the same time after the fireworks

I think I'd walk back if the queues were massive. I hate queuing me.

Talking of buses from Matlock bath to the cross roads at cromford, we jumped on a transpeak bus once as it was raining and we'd parked at cromford meadows, (not illuminations time)

I thought it'd only be a couple of quid for what is only 2 stops.

bloody swinehund charged us nearly £6!

and there were no bloody seats!

and the sarky Bugger said 'hope you enjoyed the trip' as we got off!

i complained to the highest level.

im over it now though.

?

bloody threads brought it all back ?

You could have bought a brolly in Matlock, and saved a quid.
