cloughandtaylor
Just been looking at the next 4 fixtures for the top 3 going into half way point of the season Derby Brighton Boro Brighton Home Derby Home Bham Home Bristol City Home QPR Away Burnley Home Ipswich Away Boro Home Brighton Away Fulham Home Brentford Away Blackburn Away ............there is no reason why we cannot make up the 4 pts on Brighton to get to the half way point of the season and possibly even have a couple pts gap on them - although we do need to beat them this weekend first! cloughandtaylor
We have 3 home games out of the 4 and you wouldn't rule out max points from the home games and maybe 1 pt at Ipswich? As Brighton have to also to play Boro -lets hope for a draw that would suite us?
ramsbottom
Looking at those fixtures you'd say we have the slight advantage with 3 out of 4 being at home, and 2 of those against sides in the bottom half. But as we've discussed at length on another thread this morning, football isn't played on paper. I'd be happy over the moon with 12, more than happy with 10, chuffed to bits with 9, and satisfied with 8. Anything less than that and I reckon we may have missed our window. Brighton will surely drop a few points, going to QPR with a their new manager bounce will be tough, as will Boro. Boro is tough to call, Brum have been on the slide the past couple of weeks but were unlucky against Brighton. Burnley and Blackburn will give them problems as well. But they have a good chance of winning any game where they take the lead So - Derby Brighton Boro Brighton Home (W) Derby Home (L) Bham Home (W) Bristol City Home (W) QPR Away (D) Burnley Home (D) Ipswich Away (L) Boro Home (W) Brighton Away (L) Fulham Home (W) Brentford Away (D) Blackburn Away (W) 9pts 5pts 7pts
SIWY
Wouldn't be surprised if Derby, Brighton and Boro were all level on points after Boxing day, it will definitely be very close.
admira
Brighton have only won 3 away games, they do draw a lot though. A win for us Saturday would make a massive statement to the rest of the division, as did our win at Hull.
