maydrakin
According to the telegraph, the football league has brought in Futurebrand, a consulting firm, to rebrand the league for next season.http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/competitions/championship/11851403/Football-League-could-be-renamed-next-season-in-major-overhaul.htmlMy suggestion would be Division 2, Division 3 and Division 4, although I doubt that will happen somehow... rynny
The Football League could rename its three divisions as part of a rebrand planned in time for the start of next season. The names Championship, League One and League Two may all be scrapped in a bid to boost the league’s brand identity. The three divisions have been known by those monikers since another rebrand 11 years ago saw the league abolish the titles First, Second and Third Division. That was in a bid to allow the top division to stand out from the lower leagues in the same way as the Premier League had 12 years earlier. The league is open to altering the current divisional names again after appointing Futurebrand to propose changes to the way it markets itself in the digital age and help it attract a younger audience. The Football League is in need of new sponsors Shaun Harvey, the chief executive of the Football League, insisted the move was unrelated to its hunt for new title sponsors for both the league and League Cup. “We’ve entered into a very extensive consultative process with all the stakeholders, including the Premier League, sponsors and fans,” he told Telegraph Sport at the Soccerex Global Convention. “There is no limit to where that work can go and, equally, there is no certainty that there will be any form of radical change. “We felt we needed to undertake this rebrand at this stage, where the Football League is strong, to build on that base, rather than look to cover up any shortcomings. “Ultimately, this is about finding the right basis for the Football League to go on for the next 20 years.” For anyone wanting to read the article, lazy linker @maydrakin
