Butros
Regarding Delph's £8m buyout clause, while it does seem "cheap" in today's market. His contract was running out this summer and most people were expecting him to move on a free. So it was a bit of a surprise when he signed a new contract in January, a contract he probably wouldn't have signed had villa wanted a larger buyout clause. CheltenhamRam
I think they are down. Fans are optimistic however. Looking at their squad on FPL... bare bones isn't the word...Bournemouth favourites against them on opening day.

Animal is a Ram
Villa may well survive again due to there being worse teams around them - much like the last few seasons. It'd be hilarious to see them drop into the Championship.
The Scarlet Pimpernel
I see they are away to Bournemouth on opening day. Could be interesting.
