Play-off Acceptance

If memory serves me right we were top with 13 games to go.

At this point the league was still tight, and if we were to finish in the top 2, we would need to finish the season well.

Now that the top 2 is looking out of our reach, we are in danger of not qualifying for the play offs.

Only the top 6 have a chance of going up, and 8 teams are looking well capable of getting into the top 6.

Therefore whether we go for a miraculous top 2 finish or we want to qualify for the playoffs, and actually show some form going into those playoffs, then we need to start winning games. So nothing really has changed, except our expectations and realisation of which place in the league we can finish.

I just have a feeling there are more twists and turns still to come. Until it is impossible for us to finish in the top 2 I say keep going for them. If we fall short we have the quality and experience to challenge anyone in the play-offs. A full strength Derby side (something we haven't had all season) will tear anyone apart at this level.
