The back four were so solid did not look like conceding not once and will huges and omare look like creating a great partnership there inter play was brillient and masion bennet showed how much he has improved and chris martin was unlucky not to score but darren bent looks like he could be our charlie austin something we have been miss for some time. oomarkwright Posted January 27, 2015 Share Posted January 27, 2015 haha, onto your blind optimism again B4, love it. yes was a great result tonight, helped by b'burn leavin gestede n rhodes on the bench. great defending by them but sounded like we ground them down and probably much improved over satdee. not sure about winning the cup, but a 1/4 final is probable and then who knows what might happen? could get a bit of luck to get to the semi's. lets COTL and aim for top two, that is realistic with a consistent run in. Back four solid - hmmm, not so sure. Blackburn were bloody awful but we made a few misplaced passes and only outstanding saves from Grant and Keogh blocks kept us ahead. Hughes and Omar - yes because they are comfortable on the ball Bennett - nah, still awful. Misplaced pass first thing he did, misplaced pass for a good break second thing, then excellent run and cross. Will never make it but you must be his brother with the support you give him. Sorry, but I can't have it that Bennett was awful, 2 mistakes then a goal making contribution in 10 minutes of play is not even close to awful.
