sage
Has anyone played over 200 times for Derby If not, who has played the most games in the last 20 seasons?
CumbrianRam
Guessing someone like Daryll Powell would come close to 200 if not over.

CumbrianRam
Thought so, Wiki only count league games so a few more if you account for cup matches.
jagerbob
Theres no one done it since we came down from the Prem under John Gregory, thats for sure. I found this link interesting. http://www.11v11.com/teams/derby-county/tab/stats/option/appearances Quite a few of the current players place highly. Just goes to show how unsettled the teams were under numerous managers pre Clough/McClaren.
CumbrianRam
Will Hughes 90 in all competitions already, they do rack up quickly http://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/will-hughes/leistungsdaten/spieler/207014
jagerbob
In the last 30 years. (my time of supporting derby) Michael Forsyth seems the most by a long way. Wracking up 400+ appearances. From what i can tell george williams is probably next on about 277 appearances.
davenportram
Was surprised Stimac only made 93 appearances in nearly 4 years with us. (From Soccerbase) hopefully with our youth coming through and squad togetherness we can keep some of these players for a long time

RamNut
Unfortunately igor spoiled his reputation a bit in his last season. He was permanently injured for us in the build up to the world cup, but would suddenly be fit to play every qualifier for Croatia.
Stive Pesley
The modern trend seems to be that footballers reach just under 100 appearances and then move on (90 appearances being roughly two seasons)

R@M
I think the high turnover of players has just as much to do with the turnover of managers.
Guest
Unfortunately igor spoiled his reputation a bit in his last season. He was permanently injured for us in the build up to the world cup, but would suddenly be fit to play every qualifier for Croatia. Igor did not leave until following summer ....when we did not play him pre season. He even sat front row of West Stand during Locomotiv Moscow game. During World Cup, where Igor made the Team of World Cup we announced the signing of Carbonari ......who played in Igor's position. Igor made comments in press to say why are we spending money for a player in my position. His season ended after Kewell did his ankle in bad tackle at Leeds, Igor had said he could play, but was risky. He played at Elland road and got bad tackle. Those are my recollections ......not checked them all out admittedly. There was something going on behind the scenes (probably arguing over this fitness - but when you are one of the best defenders n the world you will not react well to being told you are fit when you are not ) that lead us to spend
sage
Wikipedia suggests D.P played 207 games for us. Football genius is the only one i think. Simmo played over 200 but started in 91 i think.
