Derby County is delighted to announce that Head Coach Steve McClaren and his coaching staff have signed new contracts with the Club. McClaren, along with First Team Coach Paul Simpson and Goalkeeping Coach Eric Steele, have put pen-to-paper on new deals until the summer of 2017. The trio joined Derby at the end of September 2013 and masterminded a club record points total and third place finish in the Sky Bet Championship during the 2013/14 season. As a result, Derby have been quick to secure their services on new long-term deals to extend their stays at the iPro Stadium ahead of the start of the 2014/15 campaign. After the talk earlier in the summer of SM and the staff getting extensions it had seemed to go a bit quiet but announcing it just before the start of the season is great timing.
