1. Have you experienced hair loss, and if so to what degree? Yes (a bit near the crown has gone)

2. Did your father experience hair loss to the same extent? Yes

3. Do you have any brothers that have experienced hair loss? Yes

4. What do you personally believe to be the cause of your hair loss? Marriage

Bit of uni research - trying to fathom the myth (or is it?) about hair loss.

Can you just answer these questions.

1. Have you experienced hair loss, and if so to what degree?

2. Did your father experience hair loss to the same extent?

3. Do you have any brothers that have experienced hair loss?

4. What do you personally believe to be the cause of your hair loss?

Any feedback would be very much appreciated.

Not sure if you are serious about Uni research or not, but one of your questions is wrong. Baldness or hair loss is inherited from your Mums blood relatives. So look at your Mums brothers/Dad. Your own Dad had no say in this :)

Not true I'm afraid, if your father is bald, you are 2.5 times more likely to be bold. The theory about it being carried on the X chromosome is correct to an extent but does not determine whether you will or not for definite.

1) A little, unfortunately. But it's going at a slow pace so I've got a few year left before it's that bad.

2) Yup, he had long hair like mine too. Exactly the same.

3) Yeah, and they have it much worse haha

4) Genetics.

1. Yes, started when I was about 33. Typical male pattern.

2. Dad's probably got as much hair as me & didn't really start losing it until his 60's

3. Brother's just starting to lose a bit on his crown but much less than me and is 46 years old.

4. My first marriage.

Isn't it caused by excess testosterone though?

1) temples are gradually receding, started to about two years ago but a very slow process (thankfully)

2) temples receded abit, other than that perfect mop of hair

3) no brothers

4) a mix of living with the missus, daughter and supporting dcfc.
