Curtains
I'd stick with Jeff , Will and Craig and go 4-4-2. http://www.dcfc.co.uk/news/article/selection-keeping-me-awake-210314-1433565.aspx?
Day
Doesn't work. Take the risk and keep the formation to what the players having been playing.

North_Stand_Ram
. It does work for me at home but not away. Did you watch the Millwall game? It doesn't work full stop for me. Thorne Hughes Bryson
duncanjwitham
Hendrick, Hughes and Bryson doesn't work as a 3 in central midfield and it barely works with one of them stuck out wide. We either stick Thorne or Bailey in as a DM, or we start with 2 up front and play like we did second half against Bournemouth. It all depends on how we think Forest and going to set up. If they're going to try and play against us, then we should absolutely go with 3 in the middle, win the possession battle and wear them down. If they're going to stick 10 men behind the ball and try to stop us playing, we'd be better going with 2 up top and playing slightly more direct to Martin - we struggle to retain possession against teams doing this, meaning we struggle to create chances and our dodgy back 4 gets exposed. Curtains
We don't know how Thorne or Bailey will fit in its a massive gamble. Didn't go to the Millwall game but apparently they wasted time the whole game. We need to get at Forest at home . The defense is playing well and we don't need a holding player for home matches all the time we need to believe in our strengths using our creative ball players. cannable
Wouldn't mind seeing Will given a go wide right. Played very well there for his debut.
Curtains
I'd just like to point out he never said Hughes/Hendrick/Bryson as a midfield three. He said 4-4-2, presumably with Will wide right. Correct or just behind Martin with a free role.
Day
Still doesn't work. Neither are wide players. Why change the formation to fit square pegs in round holes just so curtains man crush Hendrick plays? Ridiculous. Thorne or Bailey, anything else would be nuts. Ambitious
Thorne, Hughes (if over 90% fit) and Bryson. done.
Day
I wouldn't even have Hendrick on the bench, play him in the U21's this week.
Ambitious
I wouldn't even have Hendrick on the bench, play him in the U21's this week. I'd put Eustace in a wig, pretend it's Hendrick. He can have the suspension.
Curtains
So if Thorne is the answer how many of the people on here have seen him play. Why hasn't he played before now. Start him from the bench. The bench could be just as important but I question us needing a holding player in home games.
Guest
Throw Thorne in. Worked for Cisse. If he doesn't even come off the bench tomorrow given Eustace is out, may as well send him back waste of time. The lad could thrive off it and put in a blinder and maybe even knock Eustace out the team. Go for it!!
Day
If 4-4-2 was the answer why haven't we played it yet? If Hendrick, Bryson and Hughes was the answer why haven't we played them all together yet?...oh wait we have and it didn't work Which do you think is the bigger risk, a complete change of system or swapping a like for like player that has only played with the U21's for a couple months? VulcanRam
Thorne might be a gamble in DM role, but he's less of a gamble than Hendrick, who we have seen play and we know can't.
Day
Let's say we start with Thorne, looks a bit nervous maybe unfit, we go in at half time 0-0, McClaren loves to go to a 4-2-4 and chase the game, Thorne off and bring on either Russell, Ward or Dawkins which ever one is on the bench. Sorted. The players know what they are doing, it's a tried and tested system, bish bash bosh we win 3-0 and curtains still loves Hendrick.
