eddie
Me (plus 3). We're old fogeys though so we will be finding a quiet (ha!) pub somewhere in the centre of Bournemouth. The Studland pub looks very nice but it's 8 miles away (almost 30 miles away if you avoid using the ferry) - which would mean yours truly not being able to have a beer. In other words, it's a non-starter.

froggg
Thomas Tripp Christchurch......another 'proper' pub.... "http://www.firebird-live.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2013/11/Screen-Shot-2013-11-13-at-15.09.53" alt="Screen-Shot-2013-11-13-at-15.09.53"> Thomas Tripp is a traditional public house located in the centre of the historic town of Christchurch in Dorset. We offer a warm welcome to all, with an open fire, a wide selection of wines and beers complimented by a simple menu offering Great British favourites at realistic prices. We have a ‘sun trap’ of a beer garden, including 'Smugglers' outside bar & grill, which is fantastic in the summer months. We are children, family and dog friendly so why not bring ‘Rover’ along to see the menu including ‘Pedigree Chum and biscuits’! We have a wide selection of traditional pub games and newspapers so please find a corner and make yourself at home. We pride ourselves on the quality of our cellar and our cask drawn Real Ales which are sourced locally. We also have regular Guest Ales at the bar which are hand selected from further afield, providing real choice and seasonal variety. We have a dedicated cider bar where we offer a wide range of draught ciders, bottled ciders and of course scrumpy straight from the barrel! Set in the historic town centre there is plenty to see and do; The Priory Church, The Red House Museum, The Old Mill, The Electricity Museum, and for the more active and adventurous there are long walks over Hengistbury Head, Mudeford Spit, the beaches and the Quomps. If you get tired grab a ferry boat back to town or take the land train (locally known as the ‘Noddy’ train). We have the Famous Royalty Fisheries (pop into Davis Tackle for more information) as well as fantastic bird watching locations. So if you are a sight see’er, a rambler, a local, a fisherman, a twitcher or just someone who likes a great pub please feel welcome to pop in and say hello.
