I think more practice on the training pitch is needed.

Look how long Beckham used to practice, and Rooney improved his heading by practicing in the close season. He came back and broke his scoring record next season, scoring a shed load with his balding bonce.

Yep, say what you want about them two (and people always do) - but there's no denying they put the hours in on the practice pitch alright.

Beckham is retired and I doubt Victoria would fancy moving to Derby.

I'm not sure we could afford Rooney's wages...and you're not allowed to take free kicks with your head anyway.

What rubbish suggestions Boycie

How about Bale I hear he hasnt settled in at Real. I would suggest Ronaldo as well but its probably a bit too wet and cold for him here .

Alan Durban bent it better than Beckham and in the late 60's that was a 'new' art. Practice, practice, practice is what he used to say. Can never understand why players don 't take this on board - even I used to be able to 'bend it' back in the day - its not difficult !!

Same thing with long throws and corners - just practice and the player having the desire to put that extra effort in.

Agree Ward's delivery is poor. Hughes, Martin, Jacobs should have preference before Ward.
