hoptim histic
Regardless of the rights and wrongs of the sacking. If this board are really serious about "taking us to the next level" then you have to start making substantial funds available. We can have the best manager about but theres only so much anyone can do with average lighweight kids! rouenram
Would be a bit of an insult to Nigel to suddenly make significant funds available to the new man though, don't you think?

AndyinLiverpool
The board might think there's more to get out if these players. I reckon they'd be right.
Leicester Ram
We're not in the transfer window, the manager should be thinking about what he's going to do with the players we have, not who he's going to bring in (yet).
notts_ram
Dont want to rain on your parade but the board thought that Clough should be getting more out of the current players than 14th in the league - a big clue to this is the fact that he was sacked last night. Why should they then start bankrolling the next manager.
JABBA
Has our squad just got bigger as players who were frozen out or not Nigel's favourites got a chance of starting games again? I expect Ben Davies and Freeman may start on Tuesday.
Phoenix
'The next level' could be 13th.

It's not going to happen. They would have done the necessary in the Summer if they were ever going to do it. Hughes and Hendrick will fetch tidy sums and I would think whoever is in charge will get around half of the £10m we get for them in January. Obviously, with a new Manager to fund, a golden hello to a Director of Football and an increase in salary for Sam, funds will be limited. However, we will be looking at the next level throughout. Unfortunately, the Club officials will be spinning like tops wherever they speak so it might be difficult for us mere mortals to follow what they mean. I'm sure they mean well though and aren't in it for themselves........
