BREAKING NEWS............POSSIBLE SIGHTING............

Two women were robbed after opening the door to a man who they thought was a potential client at Raffles massage parlour in Blackburn. The robber forced his way into the first floor building after ringing the doorbell.

He demanded money from the two victims.

The women who were left ‘shaken’ by the ordeal, had to hand over cash before the man would leave, police said.

Yesterday staff were back at work but did not want to talk about the experience.

DI Jill Johnston, of Blackburn CID, who is leading the investigation, said "we are looking for a tall, balding man with large hands".

A worker at the near by Refreshment Bar, said: “This is terrible.”

Detectives investigating the robbery are now appealing for anyone who saw anything suspicious to come forward.

DI Johnston said: “I would like to speak to anyone who saw anything suspicious to come forward."

CCTV footage of the area is now being analysed by police following the robbery.

The thief is described as 6ft tall, bald, of slim build, with large hands.

He was also wearing a hoodie or balaclava.

CCTV has since been scrutinised in closer detail, revealing a vending pack of Hamlet cigars in his back pocket.

Police also noted one stamped out cigar stub found in a nearby photograph booth and have sent this to the fingerprint and DNA departments in an effort to 'catch the varmint who seemingly has a penchant for lighting up Hamlet's in an enclosed, curtained space'.

The discovery of a comb found with no teeth has so far not been linked with the stub but police reckon a possible combover may be in 'a bit of a tacking'.

Enquiries continue.
