  1. 1Wildsmith - 5 (Cost us a goal by delaying coming out and then being reckless) 24Nyambe - 6 (Not much support in front of him, spotted this by going alone a couple of times) 7Barkhuizen - 5 (Seems to lack confidence) 35Nelson - 6 5Bradley - 5 6Cashin - 6 (Stopping putting square pegs in round holes) 2Wilson - 5 (Although Adams should be controlling the ball - why can't we pass to players with the ball staying on the deck - this is a real bugbear of mine) 12Smith - 6 (Battled well but ultimately not sure what he really offers - he is going to score and doesn't create) 17Sibley - 5 (Left wing, centre mid - all over the place - not his fault) 32Adams - 6 (Some good tackles, but should have done better with the pass to him) 27Blackett-Taylor - 6 (No real time, team don't seem to trust him yet) 11Méndez-Laing - 6 (Again - Always wants the ball to feet, never seems to run in behind much - thats easy to mark against) 8Bird 🐦 - 5 (Very soft, lost all his 50/50) 25Gayle - 6 (Pleasantly surprised with some of his hold up play but never threatened) 10Waghorn - 5 (No impact of any type) Second game in a row now I couldn't give anyone a 7. Rather telling that.
  2. Much wrong? Wow. We'd had three shots at half time. We had played head tennis for much of the first half. I think everything was wrong.
  3. 1) Agreed 2) From a business perspective, I believe the Championship will be worth an extra £7-10m in revenue. Of course our costs go up but who doesn't want this. I'd also suggest - we stay down, Bird is already gone, I am sure Cashin will move on (We just get a decent fee) so what will we be left with? Our better ball playing players will have left (Bird, Cashin, Hourihane), a manager playing lump it football, a depleted squad size, a manager who seems to struggle to attract good attacking players (Which attacking players has he bought in who are a success - even Wilson for all his skill doesn't contribute much in goals/assists). It's a disaster waiting to happen under Warne.
  4. Got to play through the midfield for this to happen.
  5. At half time, both teams had had three shots, with the Cash goal being the only effort on target. We were home to fifth bottom who were winless in 18, and we’d had three shots. By the 98th minute we hadn’t fashioned any half decent open play opportunity.
  6. In my opinion, that only goes to show how low your expectations have dropped. Tonight was all about head tennis. How far can we head the ball. Not a single player, bar Bird but even he was guilt a lot, tried to play any element of football. Not a single time in the many many times of head tennis, was Warne in his technical area telling them to get the ball down. This pathetic brand of football, Lump it high, get a free kick anywhere put it in the mixer, etc is his comfort zone. Good players have lost the ability to play because Warne doesn’t want them to. Now confidence to play football has gone. Its depressing. I actually care very little now. Even if we go up, we will 100% be in a relegation battle. We lost our manager who would have delivered us good football. Now we are left with diabolical football, poor off the field strategy and a 15% hike in ST prices. If we don’t go up, watch 3000 drop off the gate easily. Clowes won’t have the balls to get rid of him IMO. It’s actually very sad where we are.
  7. But you hit the mail on the head there. Stop playing NML upfront/inside. Put him back where he is more effective…. On the wing. Elder is absolutely not a wing back. He’s the most ‘stand still’ player in the club. I mean - even if you’re not going to our pace a defender, make a run to create space for someone else. He’s an atrocious player. However fundamentally we have three centre backs, a left wing back playing left back, two holding midfielders and we wonder why we can’t make an offensive pass and keep hold of the ball. Excluding Gayle when he came in, I think Sibley tried a couple of times to make a run through (but he needs selling in the summer, where is the Sibley who burst into the scene with the Man Utd/Blackburn games) but for those who said we are Ok, what game were you watching? The sky highlights show Cashins header off the line, the goal and Birds dragged shot….. thats because that is all we had. 90 minutes of football - three attempts. Sweet jesus.
  8. 1Wildsmith 4.5 35Nelson 6 5Bradley 6 6Cashin 6 2Wilson 6 4Hourihane 5 7Barkhuizen 6 32Adams 5.5 12Smith 5 20Elder 3 24Nyambe 6 8Bird 🐦 5.5 17Sibley 6 25Gayle 6 11Méndez-Laing 5.5 Really difficult to say anyone played well.
  9. I love playing three centre backs, two defensive midfielders and a LB who has absolutely no idea what to do as a wingback and subsequently offers nothing. Weve basically gone from playing Collins to playing another CB. The football is just so bad and clueless.
  10. I would say often the underwhelming perform better than the overwhelming. I'm still worried on our batting.
  11. End of the season only please. We need 2 or 3 new strikers next season.
  12. Anyone confused? Radio Derby/Eric Steel said we changed the formation? I didn’t we think we did - we just bought on Smith and moved Bird forward but it was always being backs. The only thing we probably did was told NML to go out wide a bit more? Did we go to four at the back? Was Elder (who I thought was awful) or Cashin Left Back? It’s going to be a long run in.
  13. That seems a very high cost for medical services in Match days?
  14. I agree with you 100%. I can only assume its because they don't want to commit to the Policing numbers, stewards, ticket printing and so on but yes, when its fairly obvious a club will sell its allocation out - why they don't do it from the beginning is confusing to me as well.
  15. Honestly - I could easily see it in the region of £12-15m yes. - I imagine the club employs around 150 full-time none-playing staff (i don't know actual number until the club accounts come out) - circa £40k average salary including NI payments = £6,000,000m. - Salaries of Coaching Staff - £500k-750k as a Guess. - Police Bill - £400k (Some googling provides an indicative cost per game) - Match Day Staff - £250k (Stewards etc) - Loan Costs - 1-2m? - Agent Fees - 500k? - Fee's on rates and utilities - £1m. Not just Pride Park to Run but also Moor Farm. (I'm grouping Pride Park into the running costs of the club even though its a separate legal entity). Water, Electricity, Council Tax. - I imagine Coach and overnight Travel alone is £250k (Remember Under 21's, Under 18's, Women's team) - CAPEX investment - Probably at least £500k per year - Yes this is financially spread over years but a 5-year depreciation (Straight line!!!) - could still see £500k IMO. Think of the new advertising at PP, the Bigger Screen, etc - So I think I am nearly at £12m with the above on the bigger expenses. Now remember the Creditors list when we went into Administration - There were probably 100 different companies/organisations on that list who were owed money. I'm sure we've consolidated a lot of spend since but there will still be an awful lot of day to day operational costs in the business. Caterers, vehicles, stationary, marketing, I.T, maintenance. the list will add up very very quickly.
  16. So Graham Lloyd is our 4-day captain - will he score enough runs himself is my only concern there? Samit Patel is the one day captain - obvious choice in my eyes. Any rumours on who the second overseas will be?
  17. Shocking in this day and age that a stand with restricted view seats is still built.
  18. Well I have a great idea on the ball out of play time....
  19. You've been annoyed for a long time now then.
