  1. It's strange that this group of players are, by definition, professionals in their sphere of work yet some lack self motivation, the ability to follow instructions, are ill disciplined etc which then puts into question their professionalism in the first place
  2. I get that and apologies for making that assumption. I'm just saying that you feel it necessary to make regular posts on the same matter which is that you don't believe that Warne is the right person long term for the club. Long term might not be to the end of his current contract, it could potentially be beyond that, but if he doesn't get removed then it's over 2 years. Which is a long time for someone to be feeling it necessary to make the same repeated points on how they feel. That's all.
  3. Hindsight has 20:20 vision
  4. Respect your opinions and not trying to wade into and argument or inflame matters, but your comment about 1 million quid wouldn't break the bank or fit into our business plan did interest me. I would have inferred by our unwillingness not to spend this sum of money then it wouldn't have fit into our business plan and or Clowes wasn't willing or couldn't underwrite this - what makes you think otherwise?
  5. How does that circle become squared though? You've said that you don't believe that Warne is the right person to take the club forward long term yet he's not nearly halfway through a 4 year contract? Everyday that he's seeing out his contract then will only serve to increase your unhappiness in the situation. I've always said change the things that you can change yourself so if you can't affect the change of Warne leaving our club what can you change to make the situation more tolerable for yourself?
  6. I've seen the post match footage from the Bournemouth Newcastle game with Trippier vs the fans at the end of the game. Great publicity has been given to this after the away defeat. Cast your minds back to the end of match debate with a player from our club after an away loss with our fans. It's not just our club but it seems that there's an unpleasant emerging pattern here. I hope that these are two one offs and that fans can express their frustrations albeit created from unrealistic expectations in a constructive manner. This is a few weeks after Newcastle beat PSG in the Champions League for God's sake.
  7. All along it's never been a binary decision but forum members on here have made it so. I purposely didn't post anything last night as one win doesn't dictate the entire course of one season in the same manner that one loss doesn't either. But after a loss then it would seem that's our season doomed if you listened to some forum members reactions and responses. Or because we're now x points from the top 2 places. Anyway it's called balance and the more we see of it on here the more threads like this will start to dissolve away into nothingness.
  8. Didn't watch the game but fair play to the lads for coming back from 2- 0 down with about 2 minutes of normal time to play.
  9. I said at the start of the season that anything less than top 6 would be a failure so we agree then!
  10. You need to put the @ symbol infront of the username so they get notified that they've been tagged in a post. Anyway at what point would you draw the line to say Warne is doing an OK job and it would only be counterproductive to start with a fresh manager?
  11. Aha nice to read a balanced perspective. Stevenage are in a play off position but the away defeat by them was greeted by some with a variety of wailing and gnashing of teeth.
  12. It's worth a like just for using the word fallacious. But yes the content of your post has pretty much nailed the situation
  13. Wish everyone would just enjoy the win when we do and not get all reactionary and morbid when God forbid we do lose a game.
  14. Rather than try and get other posters embroiled in some petty argument to deflect from a very good home win this evening why not just enjoy the moment?
  15. When you read comments on here prior to the game saying that things will turn toxic if we lose the game tonight then that kind of sums things up. Unhelpful and unnessary comment I can imagine only to artificially stoke some imaginary fire under Warne. So please leave off the comments about rubbing people noses in it as there are enough people on here whom do have a sense of proportion after either a good win or a poor defeat.
  16. Good win. As I said a few weeks ago consistency is what we're sorely lacking. Not going to get too excited over a home win by the same token I don't get despondent over an away defeat but was well needed tonight.
  17. I think it's a measure of games played vs number of wins by that manager. I wouldn't even call it a stat which then could be manipulated unless you disagree with the number of games under each manager or the number of wins.
  18. Can believe that. The crossing against Exeter was just really poor I mean head down lump into the box. It's not even playing the percentages if you're only winning nearly 9% of the balls you sling into the penality area.
  19. What weighting factor would you apply to these stats to then factor in your point? Whatever way you cut it that's the amount of games each manager has won during their tenures. If you don't accept the findings then thats not a problem with the results themselves but yourself.
