Thought it might be worth a separate thread as so many match threads and others just turn into pick a pinyata with people having picked one and sticking to it without thought, reason or ability to shift from it, warne 3 promotions from this division currently best scoring record in the division with constant amount of very good goals being scored and a mean defence second on goals conceded, collins clearly doesn’t have the instincts of a goal scorer despite being relatively prolific over his carrer compared to others lauded as far better than him, hourihane ,ect ect ect , I do wonder if some people actually watch games just to pick they’re pinyata to bash for the season or seasons if a players stays longish term🤷🏻‍♂️

My thoughts too , my big concern is he plays some games between now and jan, we keep him and he is back on the injury list after jan , some talented players just seem to get injuries and never reach they’re potential, we don’t have the luxury of that kind of money ,any player can of course pick up an injury but one with history of breaking down is a big gamble for us , glad I’m not the one who has to make the decisions

As I said , I’m not anti and I don’t for a minute decry the work and dedication they put in I just personally find it hard to watch , it’s not an attitude it just makes me want to look away ,, I get similar when I all too often see real mis matches served up in men’s boxing 🤷🏻‍♂️

Frustrating, nobody had a good game , including the ref, she's been decent before so I’m going to put it down to a bad day as she seemed to get carried along with the game rather than be on top of it , wycombe were horrible sneaky , niggly out to frustrate desperate for something from the game and to be honest they got it , the rush of early yellows put us on a tightrope where we really couldn’t give it back or impose ourselves in midfield , collective poor performance but we should have nicked the win , move on to the next game which is big in my view ( probably all are now 🤷🏻‍♂️) , a win and we are still right in the mix

It’s all relative , there’s players in league 1 who are athletes and talented footballers for this level , stick them in the prem you want to compare with and they are just athletes

You mean like Wilson or ward or nyambe or fornah ,,,, again this is a silly twist to beat warne with ,,, it’s very clear and has been for some time successful footballers have to be athletes first and foremost, you only have to look at the stick given to hourihane by some ( unfairly a lot of the time in my view ) over work rate and distance covered in games to see the contradiction in terms,,, personally I want athletes who are good footballers at the club , it creates unity on the pitch and the training field 🤷🏻‍♂️

I think you make a good point and I think he has become a bit defensive , I don’t think he’s daft enough to think it’s ALL the fanbase but I do think he may be using the fact that he and the players have a point to prove to the vocal borderline abusive minority, ive no prob with that🤷🏻‍♂️

Think the real issue isn’t people who arnt fully onboard with warne , I get that , can respect it if it’s put out there with reasonable reason or even gut feeling , the issue is certain posters whose attacks on warne have bordered on obsession with personal attacks and total destruction of what the bloke has achieved at this leve ( the level we are at ) , those posters never give credit when it’s fairly due with the bad all down to warne but the good in spite of him or pure accident, I think they are fair game for a bit of stick back but they seem to have gone into lurk mode until we lose a couple as we surely will over the rest of the season and for me if he gets us up he has earnt a crack at the championship, that’s not short term thinking it’s just how I roll

Yep and I agree that I see some stuff they do well and of course they are above us for a reason but over all I personally didn’t see them as far superior a side to us 🤷🏻‍♂️

In what way ? Do you think they look better now ? As I say , to my eye neither side looked any better than us and I fact I would fancy us against them , Bolton away I thought we were robbed and I think we are far more settled now than then and finding some form , confidence and momentum, both sides last night gave the ball away extremely easily and decision making in the final third along with finishing was poor , certainly no better than us🤷🏻‍♂️

Nope , not alone , I’ve already stated that since the meltdown Im enjoying going to games in a way that i havnt for years , im engaged and enjoying the ongoing fight back , I don’t need us to be playing prem football against prem teams , for over 55 years derby have been my team and derby fans my tribe , that’s all I need and being competitive at whatever level we are and striving for better does the trick for me , I will be at pp again on Saturday desperate for a win and buzzing if we get one 🤷🏻‍♂️
