Perhaps your right , perhaps threads like this should be shut down because actually there is no way that they can be separated from the politics and ideological, they chug along fine if they are an echo chamber and used to push one view , if that is challenged then the poo hits the fan ,,, why bother posting on them then people may ask ? Well I don’t use any other form of social media and found this site through my love of derby county , little by little I came to see it as community and became involved , I take part in all areas of it , that has expanded from just the football which I still very avidly read and exchange opinions and experiences on , I have noticed quite a few posters who wernt on track with the message away from the football section have just stopped bothering to post , that’s quite sad really 🤷🏻‍♂️

Sadly though fossil fuels ARE the lifeblood of the planet and lockdown was not even a slight indicator of stop the use of ALL fossil fuels and ALL they’re by products , even on the medical side let alone all the serfs running round making for and delivering to the better offs , no not even a tiny fraction of just STOP oil, you do realise that tech wise we are a million miles from replacing oil at this point and the road we are being pushed down ( wow there big bucks big growth in it ) is based on finite materials and every bit as damaging as oil , call me a silly sentimental old fool but I’m still far more worried by take make throw away needlessly and what we put in our rivers , oceans , land fills and the rate we are doing it 🤷🏻‍♂️

I had a group of Everton fans trying to start a fight with me outside Goodison park when I was with my 10 year old daughter ( brave duckers ) to be fair it was other everton fans that rounded on them though🤷🏻‍♂️ my gripe with England fans was they just had so so many that were extremely happy to pick on and intimidate ordinary folk going about they’re business

There obviously were very bad incidents and obviously some very bad people but pretty much everyone I knew never wanted to kill , maim or seriously injure and hitting ordinary people who wernt looking for it was going to get you piss taking and lack of respect as opposed to kudos, to most it was an adrenaline filled punch up and perhaps a bit silly but you kinda never thought it through to the possibility of real bad stuff , a bit like a boxer dying from a fight in the ring , the surviving boxer never went in to do that , yes they know there’s a chance but in the main it all ends ok , that said the effect will be massive , eubank was never the same animal in the ring after the Watson thing , we mostly all do daft things without really thinking what could happen, different now but how many people got behind the wheel of a car with a drink in them , ect ect ect , so the people who have a mix of fond memories from those days are lucky enough to have escaped anything really bad to them or doing anything that resulted in what could have happened, some won’t get and are able to look down on those who did ( fair enough) but we are all different people growing up with different life experiences, as I’ve said earlier, wisdom and responsibility sometimes only comes with age
