There’s nothing wrong with it but on the run of form we are in I personally wouldn’t be putting out an experimental midfield 3 unless I was thinking that that combination looked a big upgrade , I would do as warne is doing and switching some in game to see how blends work in situations, don’t get me wrong , im not saying we shouldn’t always be looking to improve but I just feel our midfield are getting bit over criticised, there’s a lot to be said for getting the job done and they are at this point and could even improve , where I think you are right is I feel we have good squad strength in that area now and will need to use them all over a long season with injuries , form , suspensions and tired legs

Xg versus gut ,,,,,, watched the game on rtv and my gut was it was only a matter of time before we scored and went on to win , solid at the back , much more organised of late with a confidence and determination building in the team , the players and management reaction at the final whistle was a joy to watch and very far from the picture of a group of players being told to play in a way they don’t want and not really on board with the manager , warne recruitment,, well again it shows real promise for the job in hand , Nelson, nyambe, Wilson ( twinkle toes ) , fornah, hourihane and smith are getting dogs abuse from some ( unfairly in my view) , they are in my view rosenior players that bring plenty to our team but some want them out for more mobile athletic in they’re view warne type players , patience that some have been calling for is the key , let’s see how the team develops , we are progressing and in my view look stronger throughout the squad than last apart from maybe mc g and his best ever ever season

How certain are you those 3 will control games ? What roles are you playing them in? they certainly have some attributes that smith and hourihanne lack but by the same token they lack some of the composure , experience and passing the two they replace have , im not sure those 3 control games any better than what we do now but it’s opinions 🤷🏻‍♂️

Ok so who are the midfield we are going to put out that are going to control games regularly because I personally don’t see we have that available with any certainty, at this point I’m happy to put out a team that wins games and gets us up

We are now winning games and the cry is we are not controlling games , the midfield is not working and needs changing , well we have players for whatever reason are at stages in they’re careers where they are pretty much league one standard playing against other league one players , I think we have enough quality to be winning games enough to go up this season , I don’t think we have the quality and quantity to be controlling games week in week out , interested to hear the which players in our squad should be getting picked and why they will go out and control games in the manner and regularity some seem to expect us to do as a given 🤷🏻‍♂️

I kind of get that warne may feel a bit defensive and respond a little to some over the top stuff , the bloke has been with us for 5 minutes , has 3 promotions under his belt and is realistically only a successful if he gets us up , he’s having to put up with slagging off on all kinds of levels from being a fraud and nothing more than a PE teacher , having his personality ripped to shreds when it’s clear he tries to be a decent bloke , having fans scream that his football is shxt and he needs to duck off out our club , see fans screaming at players connor ect ect ect 🤷‍♂️, So for me good on him to stand his ground , results are all that matter when you boil it all down , I want him to work his backside off to get them and get us up and I don’t want him to be a doormat who swallow s crap and doffs his cap
