Im happy yeah of course, just trying to find reason why stream can't cope sometimes.

Ahh I see, i think it can be any number of reasons. If you think about it, its is all the problems that a broadcaster would have along with all the problems that a streaming service will have but inside of a football club. Ive seen people on here compare it to Netflix, youtube etc when it is completely different, nothing on netflix is live and only a handful of things on youtube are live and they have had years to get that right. There are problems from time to time but its worth remembering that its a football club and not a full on dedicated streaming service. I'm sure things will be better next season though.

Yea but clubs aren't forced to offer the service at all. Hence why when we played Boro all the Boro fans buy it. Villa afaik weren't offering the game to anyone at all hence why the villa fans bought ramsTV for 1 day.

Yes so Derby are offering more then most other clubs. Earlier in the season people in this thread were moaning that they couldn't watch a game that was televised but now the club has opened that up to people you arent happy?

Yea it's Derby. Most of the other clubs have another similar system but it's run by football league.

That's not how it works. Derby, Villa, Birmingham, Bristol City and a few others have their own systems but these are all subject to the EFL's Broadcasting Rights agreement. Clubs who have their own streaming service cannot negotiate them for themselves unless it is in a country where the EFL have decided they are unlikely to get a deal.

I think it’s because it’s being broadcast abroad. Unfortunate it’s not just Sky dictating.

Yep, I think another broadcaster other than sky has the villa game, will be shown abroad I imagine.

I’ve had no problems with the streaming, but when I try to cast to apple tv I only get sound and no image. It’s only happening with the live stream, the pre-recorded stuff plays normally.

Streaming on a TV through AppleTV is against Broadcasting Rights so it is not supported, if you want to watch on your TV try through an HDMI cable if you have one.

So, is tonight’s game available to watch on RamsTV? The statement says that all games will now be available, but I have received a message saying that due to contractual reasons tonight’s game can’t be shown.

Where did you get this message? If from the app notification it says it can only be shown 'in select countries' but to answer your question, yes the game tonight will be available to watch on RamsTV... but only in those countries on that page i think.

sky involvement meaning DCFC don't get a feed?  I don't know but this situation hasn't arrived overnight.  If they haven't come to a rights agreement it infers there never was one

Negotiating a rights deal is not done in one go. There is plenty of negotiation but it seems the EFL have not or are unlikely to ever negotiate a rights deal in these countries, so have now opened it up to the clubs to do as they please with but while negotiations are going on the club cant just show what they like. This allows the club to effectively negotiate their own rights deal and broadcast whatever they like as they are not tied into anything that the EFL has already signed. Birmingham came early in the season so probably wasn't open to the clubs at that point.

As for not understanding the message, it is quite clear. If you are in one of the countries you can now watch a game that ordinarily the club would not have been able to show.

    Is it good news, relax.

    @OwenB87

noticed you didn't show vyds peno shout and the sending off at half time.  New rules relating to contentious decisions?

The Bristol City game was a one-off because they were using Sky's feed which didn't filter out the replays.

Can the gods of DCFC TV please fix this stream before the second half. It's Christmas.. Pleaseeee.

Probably your internet, you see the cog/wheel thing at the bottom of the player, you can choose the quality of the stream with that, try and lower the resolution to see if it runs more smoothly.

Was fine for 23 mins then froze, by the time I had refreshed I'd missed the goal.... Now it's working for a minute and freezing again, thanks ramstv

Sounds like your internet was having a little trouble at that moment if it was working fine before that point.

Didn't watch that. But the ones before excluding Fulham as I was back for that. Hopefully all issues are put to bed.

If it was fine for most people then the problem might be on your end, if it was on the clubs end then every single person watching would also experience the same issues. Drop websiteqa@dcfc.co.uk an email next time you have a problem.
