Not yet. But quite why they need to delay the decision I don’t know. If DG’s wages are no more than Bird’s then it should be an automatic approval- barring that bias of course 🤷😳😎

We don't know they have delayed the decision. It could have been signed off at 9am this morning.

EFL decision and Derby announcing the signing could be hours/days apart.

Wasn't there something odd about the CBT deal with Charlton ?

Something Charlton said about it's a loan deal rather than a permanent signing to help us with the business plan ?

So God knows what fine details remain with the EFL

Pearce explained this in his radio derby interview.

Basically we had reached the limit we were allowed in our wage budget (for contracted players). So we did a deal with Charlton where we pay them a lump sum which covers a loan fee and his remaining months wages. Then come the summer when our agreed business plan ends, we can add him to our books.

That's how I interpreted it anyway.

  3. Friend of a girlfriend of a player who can't get in the team says negative stuff about the manager.

Based on your previous comments about Thompson demanding a loan and the fact he's played LWB it's a fair bet it's him.

I remember thinking that season he was excellent and a real prospect. However last season (granted he didn't get the most opportunities) he didn't seem to replicate it when he did get minutes. Warne can only go off what he sees in training and matches and he obviously doesn't see it in him yet.

He gave Thompson a start because he's openly stated he had no-one else to choose after than Smith and Hourihane. He was given just 194 minutes of league football last season, and has only ever played the full 90 twice under Warne (FA Cup games - the 5-0 win over Torquay and 1-0 defeat to Coventry).

Similar for Rooney. He's never been trusted to play the full 90 in back to back games, and has only been given the equivalent to 7.3 league games.

Warne has broken promises made to players regarding involvement in the first team.

What promises were made? I'm sure in the past he has said players need to be prepared to fight for their place as nothing is guaranteed.

With Thompson and Rooney being so unproven, I can't see him guaranteeing them anything.
