  1. As an ex-serviceman the discord over it in recent weeks and even years disgusts me. So many people that I find truly repulsive attempting to hijack the cause for their own gain, to the point where I've totally disconnected from it all.
  2. I don't think it would be an exaggeration to say that I believe Tony Weston will single-handedly fire us back in to the Premier League within three seasons.
  3. When the Home Secretary realised it was convenient to her to blur the lines so she could get on her soap box.
  4. Me. I just wish he was doing it here.
  5. I started taking my daughter to Pride Park last season and it was her first exposure to some seriously colourful language thanks to the lads sat behind us. They were very apologetic, although that didn't actually stop them doing it which I found amusing. This isn't a moan, I absolutely do not expect the entire football matchday to be sanitised on behalf of my daughter, and she just found it funny. I'd assume most people watching on the TV have a similar attitude.
  6. We've heard that said before the last two international breaks.
  7. My logic on that is that the longer we spend in League One playing a (mostly) poor brand of football the more fans will drift away, the less revenue the club will generate (gates, merch, TV rights etc) and the quality of player we are able to attract will diminish. We could slip in to a cycle of long term decline that I think is avoidable. If the above comes to pass then Clowes will be the man responsible for plugging the gap.
  8. The crowd have more chance of spending the entire match cheering, supporting an encouraging if they are being shown something worth cheering. We need more Northamptons and fewer Stevenages, then the crowd will wake up. Asking people to be relentlessly positive in the face of underachievement is simply not realistic.
  9. He's surviving based purely on the leniency of our owner as opposed to anything performance related. Things have been better in the last week or so, but long term I remain totally unconvinced that he is the right man to take DCFC forward.
  10. The fault of results and performances on the pitch is entirely limited to the staff and players. That's the problem, not a post from a disgruntled fan on a message board.
  11. We had all of the ball, didn't create anything clear cut prior to the 85th minute really. Crewe clinical on the break for their goals. Our first was an error from their GK and our second was well worked.
  12. I support the club, not any one individual within it. I want what is best for the club. I believe that the best thing for DCFC would be finding a more suitable manager. Clowes disagrees, which is his prerogative, it's his money on the line. I reckon sticking with Warne will cost Clowes a fortune in the long run.
  13. No. I'll moan about the manager either way because I believe that he is fundamentally flawed and the wrong fit for our club. Our aspirations as a club exceed his ability to meet them.
  14. Warne sets the game plan. It's like they had collectively forgotten what worked against Northampton. How many aimless crosses got headed away without a Derby shirt anywhere near it? The two goals we actually scored were when the ball was on the deck and moved at pace. The players play the way they are told.
  15. Bingo. I remain totally convinced that the best case scenario under Warne is that we tread water, but the worst case is we slide totally backwards with him in charge. Neither of those are acceptable outcomes for DCFC.
  16. It's like we have a collective bout of amnesia every time we play well and do the exact opposite in the following game. What the hell do they do on a daily basis on the training pitch?
  17. Any player with a semblance of talent, potential or ambition will be on the phone to their agent begging to get them out of this club.
