Honestly, my advice would be to do it your way. I suspect Warne wants more legs and energy in our midfield, which is fair enough, but I'd rather that was at the expense of anyone other than Max Bird as he is the closest thing to the total package we have got in that area of the pitch.

Nuno went to Saudi so I would assume he is more than willing to be a 'yes-man' to provide cover for the owner if need be. Nuno's biggest issue will be getting the fans on board. He doesn't exactly play an exciting brand of football and if results dont pick up quickly he'll be under pressure.

Absolutely no value to Derby in letting Bird go in Jan. A suitable replacement would be hard to find and not cheap. We'd be better served keeping him until the summer so he can help our promotion push, even if it means waiting on a tribunal to get paid.
