    See now,

I've been playing footie games since I were a lad, all started with ISS on the SNES.

I enjoy the career mode on FIFA (bar the hideous scouting system), and I'm intrigued by this The Journey mode coming up in FIFA 17...

But for the life of me, I just don't get UT. I tried it in FIFA15 and I don't get having to go through opening all of the packs, the auction system, all the coins. What's the appeal?

Ultimate team used to be good back in the day in fifa 09 and fifa 10 when you had to pay to play it. EA used to care about improving ultimate team then too which made the game mode very enjoyable to play. Back then they didn't have the handicap or momentum implemented into the game mode which prevented the irregular game swings and the infamous 45th and 90th goals. I haven't properly played it since the community manager for FIFA ulitmate team left in 2012, he listened to the community's views, sadly EA haven't replaced him adequately since then which has led to the ultimate team gameplay declining year by year.

Lets see the situation with Ulloa in Jan , can only see him playing the odd cup game for them now , with recent signings he must be 5th choice for them now . Would be my choice for Martins replacement

Great suggestion, I didn't realise he was still at Leicester. Can't see him getting a game because he is behind Vardy,Okazaki,Musa and Slimani

  3. Annoys me a bit how it feels time is moving so fast. I still struggle to believe kids born in 2000 have left now left school, to me they're still under12, wtf. I remember those years on the game console constantly avoiding gamer tags with birth dates 2000 or over because they'd be annoying pre pubical children.I also can't believe it's been nearly 10 years the play off season. Seems like yesterday that Pearson got that winner

Ha - i do have a convertible but it has to be like 20 degrees before i will have the roof down.

Ha ha ha! I have the roof open during summer for obvious reasons. I also have it open in winter because it's usually quite dark in the mornings which makes me sleepy so keeping it open keeps me ventilated. If it's not dark in winter then the sun is usually quite close and bright which makes me warm and makes me end up opening the roof again to keep me cool. I basically have it open all year round. :D I don't play annoying loud music though.

I did pretty well in my GCSEs (all Bs iirc) and I spent every revision day playing Call of Duty 4.

Those were the good old days. 1 hour revision, 1 hour campaign mission was what I followed  . Getting Cod 4 the Christmas it was released was not a very good idea in hindsight with my exams later that school year, although I still did very well in mine so it didn't really impact it too much thankfully

    This annoys me.

People who say others don't know what being depressed is.

My ex business partner who used to bellow at me "you don't know what depression is mate" if I ever intimated that I was feeling a bit down and things were getting on top of me.

Its people like him who make others not ask for help.

Everyones situation is different, I don't think its a competition on who's the most depressed.  What can trigger one person will be water off a ducks back to others.

The short daylight hours are a massive contribution to. They certainly effect me.

I'm referring to people who they are depressed over little things. For example saying they're depressed just because they lost a game of fifa or because a fast food restaurant were late to serve them. Little things like that.

as the person who started the thread, within a few days I was feeling that much better, that I started to feel guilty, like an attention seeker, which then made me feel bad again and worried what people think about me.

I think a lot is to do with realisation. Once I realised that I shouldn't care, and that only a few people on this forum have met me, that feeling subsided, but I still wondered if I'd stirred up emotion in some people.

Reality is, this forum is awesome and made me feel a hell of a lot better about life, it's also pointed out something that I hadn't realised, my misery or low feeling got worse as my exercise decreased. Like I say, realisation is a massive thing.

Friends made me involved in things over the break, so I didn't have much time to wallow in self pity.

Cheek your chin up mate. Remember to talk to your family and friends , it helps, perhaps even talk to us useless mugs

i do sort of get what you mean, in fairness i guess unless they have experienced it they dont know wany different. Whilst i dont have depression i do have a rare blood cancer which can cause chronic fatigue and trying to explain that to people without them thinking your just a bit tired can be the same principle maybe.

I'm sorry to hear about your cancer, I truly am, it's a horrible thing. I wish you a speedy recovery.

  9. F1 2015 would be a vastly improved if it had the 'Live the Life' stuff from 2010. It fails because they stripped the game back so you essentially just have a quick race championship.

Favourite game at the minute is Don Bradman Cricket 14, such a solid representation of cricket. Damn hard to play so when you get a good score with the bat it feels really rewarding.

Does don bradman cricket have 20/20s and odis or just test matches?

  10. Rocket league is a good game but it can get annoying when your teammates deliberately barge into you to stop you from scoring. It's the summer holidays now so there will be a lot of kids on it. I've been enjoying playing rocket league in my time off work but young 12 year olds do ruin the gaming experience.

  11. It's just rubbish. The defending system doesn't work correctly, it's so difficult to control your player to defending high through balls and that's before we mention that the player models themselves have been the same for about 6 years now. The torso/shoulders just look absolutely ridiculous.

Agreed. The over the top balls are just exploited because of the poor AL which means that the defenders react too slowly. On top of that EA don't know the offside rule and apparently grabbing a player's shirt isn't a free kick.
