  1. Whilst i would have loved a new striking option,I do believe that in waghorn, wash and Collins we have enough firepower going forwards. The most crucial problem warne has fixed was having a new enforcer in the midfield who also had the proven capacity to score goals. I think we will see an immediate improvement once teams realise that we don't have a soft midfield underbelly anymore. Hopefully we will see the benefits tomorrow 🤞
  2. Yep being a massive 4 points off off the top spot with a game in hand over Portsmouth is an absolute disgrace isn't it.
  3. Ffs boys,it's not as tho warne and everyone else doesn't know we need another striker in.... The problem is actually getting one in and none of us know what our requirements and most importantly our restrictions are. If we don't get one in tonight,we still have wags and wash to come back in and we have all quickly forgotten the impact that waghorn made at the start of the season before he was injured...he could well do it again and wash is a solid back up. Anyway,we still have 20 minutes to go 😬
  4. Somewhat like Rooney then....and some thought he was the best thing since sliced bread,up until he cut and ran.
  5. We say that but when came to us,I think Rotherham were sixth or so in the championship but quickly slid away once warne left. So he may have more of an idea than we think about managing in the champ...
  6. Exactly my thoughts too curtains. Don't get me wrong, the football needs to improve but Rome wasn't built in a day and all that. And...I like him too,I enjoy his chats...at least he's honest.
  7. We are three points off top and joint third on points! I'd imagine if Liam had been in charge and we were in third place,it would like a plasterers radio on here.
  8. No penno was actually given by the ref thankfully...and unsurprisingly as missed most of what was going on other than Collins being offside a lot,as usual.
  9. I have the opposite view on this,he does come across as honest, funny and quirky to me and I actually thought he sounded impressed with Sibley aside from the peno and he didn't criticise that in any case, just admitted that it was one (fair enough,it was!) He also praised him for being the only player to be making forward runs. I personally thought sibs did well,he tracked back well and made some vital tackles and at least he always has a go,going forwards. The game itself was absolutely dreadful in the first half,we were slow, dull and looked frightened to death. The changes for the second half were positive and we looked a different team,if not one that was in my mould of a great derby side. It was effective however and all of a sudden we were on the front foot with Cheltenham not really getting a look in from then on. Birds goal was superb but eclipsed by collos' effort which was outstanding....if he stayed in the box more often, this might be something we would see with more regularity. Three points off top, joint third place as it stands and we aren't even playing well yet....if we can finally click going forwards, you never know, the autos may actually be on.
  10. It would be more understandable if we weren't 4 on the league,a few points behind the top spot and with a still admirable record over the past 13 games. To be honest,I'd prefer us to play like we did in 2014 to 15 under Mac and we had a striker like CM again, but we are where we are and all that matters is to get promoted which warne has a track record of achieving. I do think that warne as person grates some people on her (not me,I actually like the guy) and that's behind a lot of the negativity here....after all the football under Rooney was worse and took us to relegation but some on here who now hate warne still fawned all over him (cards on the table I couldn't bear the bloke) Let's get behind him (you don't have to like him) and the team, get promoted and take another look once we are back in the league we should be in.
  11. I wonder if there's some sort of device that could be fitted to Collins to keep him in the opposition's box when we are crossing into it? He seems to take great delight in being in precisely the wrong place at precisely the wrong time. A unique attribute for a striker.
  12. I still enjoy his interviews and the fact he's not formulaic like so many others which just dull to listen to. But then,I like his personality unlike some.
  13. Terrible spell for us,sitting back like that always invites pressure. We got what we deserved there.
  14. That's a horrible looking pitch,looks like it's been ploughed overnight. *Doesn't stop Mendez tho 😁*
  15. No learning in it,he gambled on an experienced and improved first half side to control and hold onto the game...with the intention of fresh legs later on. It very nearly paid off but didn't this time. We still gained more points over the period than Peterborough don't forget. To be fair,he could have gone the other way and the usual moaners would still have appeared to wring their hands in disbelief.
  16. Just back in The closest game of the season and we were closely matched..they had their athetisim and we had experience and a bit of guile. A draw would have been fairest but we had our chances at the end,as did they but it eventually dropped to them at the death and they took it. Not worried about this result at all,we have still collected a lot of points over Christmas which will stand us in good stead. We carry on,COYR
  17. So about 20 pissed up blokes then... Tenuous. As I said, you see what you want to see
  18. I wasn't aware that there was an issue with the fan base other than those few who choose to see it that way.
