But it's January, we aren't comparing to the summer, as they are completely different entities when it comes to transfers. It's like comparing your December gas bill to last July to see if consumption has gone up this Christmas 🤣 All we have to go on is Warnes January last year (which he admits he failed in) and his previous comments about not liking the January window, many times I might add. Plus his comment about the Rotherham recruitment team being frustrated with him because he always turned down the players they suggested he sign. Last January's failings cost us a top 6 place, possibly a top 2, in my opinion, had we recruited right. I'm just hoping we don't repeat that, but signs currently suggest we may.

With how close we are to the top 2 and with this potentially being the easiest league 1 to get out of for many a year, Clowes would be a plonker not to back his manager on this occasion. Promotion to the Championship with a fairly clean bill of health financially and an almost clean slate FFP wise would see us be a very attractive proposition for investors and buyers. I'm sure he knows this and is happy to fund signings. I'd imagine we have our targets and we are just waiting for Paul to speak to their ex teachers, doctors and neighbours to ensure they are nice people before we sign them.

Ladapo and Smith would be great signings.

I have a feeling he will sign a new contract with Charlton. Their chairman was a little surprised he wanted to leave, now they are showing some ambition they may be able to persuade him to stay.

Looks a good signing by Charlton. If they get JCH as well as keeping Alfie May I'd fancy them to make a late push for the playoffs and could be a real danger next year.

Yes it was me and I stand by that. It would be interesting to know why Jordan Rhodes, after promising he would be signing for us, decided to just not turn up on the morning he was expected in. There is a news article out there, an interview with a player who once played for Warne, he said he had the opportunity to play under him again and turned it down as he works his players too hard. I imagine others wouldn't appreciate his full on approach outside of work either. Others would love him of course.
