  1. I guarantee Paul, when asked for an update tomorrow will say something to the effect "I've got half the targets in I would have liked, there is one more I'd like to do, it's footballs worse kept secret who that player is, we've tabled an offer, it's a good one, well I wouldn't turn my nose up at it, but it's down to the club. If we don't get him, so be it, will we have enough? That remains to be seen, but it's up to me to get the best out of them"
  2. So the last we will see of him.
  3. I think this would help. Mark Thomas gets a bit of flack, but if he is presenting Paul with potential signings and he refused them, what can he do?
  4. Maybe Warne as decided against signing a striker after seeing Sonny Bradley up front briefly the other night. Signing a defender frees Bradley up to take up a strikers position.
  5. I wouldn't lose sleep if we sold Cashin, Bird or anyone...so long as the money we received enabled us to strengthen. What I would be concerned with is giving Warne the Cashin money to strengthen. We may as well spend all the money on chopstix and sit there snapping them.
  6. We will get some 18 year old with a worse goal scoring record than Brown in on loan from Tottenham on deadline day.
  7. Weston, Brown, Robinson and Fapetu should have played more games between them with Weston maybe even being a starter. Fapetu looked twice the player Fornah has proven to be. But Whilst Warne is in charge, may as well close the academy, close the case and close the thread.
  8. Most probably one of the ones Warne alluded to when he said that players who don't want to be here can move on. Maybe a bit discontent amongst the troops.
  9. I wonder if Peterborough would swap JCH for a free luncheon with Paul Warne?
  10. He does deserve a fair amount. Like you say, we came within a kippers dick of the playoffs last year. And we would have done had Warne strengthened in January. After talking about January being like Christmas shopping and speaking about improving the squad...and then not doing so. His tactics are poor, if non-existent, he dropped our number 1 keeper, possibly our most solid keeper in terms of reliability, since Bywater. He has no interest in the academy. Brown, Robinson, Weston should all have been integrated into this team by now. This is possibly the easiest league 1 there will be for years, with no Ipswich and Sheff Wed's calibre clubs, so we should be taking the league by the scruff and getting out...but these last few games suggest we may struggle again. Paul Warne isn't the worse manager we have had, but he isn't good for our long term success.
  11. Could Paul explain the reasoning for dropping a goal keeper who hadn't really put a foot wrong for 18 months. And what does he think that would do for said goal keepers confidence?
  12. What have Warne and Thomas been doing all season in preparation for the January window? What does Thomas bring to the party, seeing as Warnes signings tend to be people who he has managed before? Or in the case of CBT, well known in league 1 anyway. Do we scout in Scotland, Ireland, or even League 2 and non league? 🤔
  13. It's just a very typical January window to be fair. We got ourself within touching distance of top 2, a couple of good signings and we could have kicked on. But, just like last year, we fail to strengthen the areas we need. Within a couple of weeks top 2 is looking a tough ask and even Barnsley behind us are a point behind with a game in hand. We have arsed it up Big time. Our number 1 striker target, we can't afford 🤣 ridiculous.
  14. The thing that annoys me so much is, I have no doubts that if we brought in Neil Warnock as manager, he would have this squad/team top by the end of the season. We have the players, maybe light on 2 or 3, but there are no excuses for Warne, we should be blowing this division away.
  15. Our top 2 chances obliterated in 2 games. Bottle jobs. I wouldn't fancy us in the playoffs, we aren't good enough.
  16. I feel like, with what is at stake today, this is up there with the worse performances I've seen from Derby.
  17. In all seriousness, Wildsmith may have got a hand on the initial shot.
  18. Wildsmith needs to be put back in goal for the next game.
