  1. Barnsley did'nt play at 100% against Peterboro because they were already assured a play-off spot. There is no league games in May this season and Bolton do have a match every Tuesday/Saturday right up to Easter, that will take it's toll on them.
  2. Pompey have 7 games in their remaining 12 against top half teams, Blackpool, Peterboro, Bolton and Lincoln away with Oxford, Barnsley and Derby at home. Bolton have Blackpool, Barnsley, Derby, Stevenage, Bristol and Peterboro away with Oxford and Pompey at home to play from the top half of the table. Barnsley have 7 fixtures against top half teams, Pompey, Stevenage and Blackpool away with Derby, Bolton, Lincoln and Northampton at home. Even though Peterboro, Oxford and Stevenage are still in the mix, I feel, unless an incredible turn in form they will not be contending for a top 2 spot. But they still have possible play-off spot to grab. Blackpool are only 6 points off the play-off spots and have a very good home record. They still have Bolton, Pompey and Barnsley at home. Games in hand is good, but only if you win them, it's points onboard that matter with only a dozen or so games to go that puts that team in the driving seat.
  3. I'm sure there was a call back clause in young Brown's loan to Gateshead. Mr Warne, get on the phone and call him back ready for Saturday.
  4. Got to admit, this guy is awesome. Its the missing link we have needed, lets hope he stays fit until the end of the season. Still got until summer 2025 on his contract with Cardiff though.
  5. Interesting remaining fixtures for the current top 7 teams. PORTSMOUTH 13 to play, 7 against current top half teams(4 away 3 home) and 5 of them 7 games are against the current top 7. DERBY 14 to play, 8 against current top half teams (4 away 4 home) and 4 of them against the current top 7. BOLTON 16 to play, 8 against current top half teams (6 away 2 home) and 6 of them against the current top 7. BARNSLEY 15 to play, 7 against current top half teams (3 away 4 home) and 4 of them against the current top 7. PETERBOROUGH 15 to play, 8 against current top half teams (3 away 5 home) and 4 of them against the current top 7. OXFORD 14 to play, 7 against current top half teams (2 away 5 home) and 4 of them against the current top 7. STEVENAGE 15 to play, 7 against current top half teams (4 away 3 home) and 5 of them against the current top 7. Other current stats, Bolton have 9 away matches to play with their fixture pile up and are playing every Tuesday/Saturday right up to Easter weekend (could take it's toll with tired and injured players). Peterborough are still involved in the EFL Trophy and still have a postponed game against Portvale to be given a date. Their last 5 matches are also testing with Orient(A), Fleetwood(H), Oxford(A), Bristol(A) and Bolton(H). Stevenage have the worse home record, having only won 6 at home, Plus they have only scored 46 goals so far. Oxford have lost the most (nine) in the top 7 and have been inconsistent. So with current and previous form, remaining matches I'm now going to stick my neck out and state the Rams will finish in the top 2 places and if we can improve our home form with 8 to play at Pride Park we could finish on top.
  6. what positive contribution did he have this game? I was at the match, he did loads of tracking back and chasing down. Never gave their back line including the keeper time on the ball. Create space for others, I think this game saw what he does off the ball that made his team mates lap up the freedom they got. And there was a few fouls on him that the ref never gave that were stonewall bad tackles.
  7. P.S. Don't buy an old wine, it could be sour grapes!!!!!
  8. Get your bottle bought then RoyMac, the invite could be in the post.
  9. 46 miles for me, driving up shortly, will take me about 70 mins
  10. I always laugh when in the Turk's Head, it's card payments only and they do a beer called "Cash is King". For those wanting a pint of that beer, you have to go to this pub because it's a brewpub right in the middle of the city centre.
  11. Thats a little bit out of the city, but yes a good real ale pub.
  12. That is the only reason to be cheerful. Lets hope Warne doesn't screw up like last season. #COYR Well, he could do just that. Just like last season after a good unbeaten run playing with 4 at the back, Mr Warne is now tinkering and reverting to 3 at the back. And we all know what happened last season. Listen to MIKE BASSETT ENGLAND MANAGER, it's 4-4-2.
  13. Their away form is pants, even though they smashed Pompey 4-0 back in November. But regardless of the fact they have played more home games than most teams, they still have only lost 3 at home. Thats only bettered by 3 teams who have only lost 2 home games. They have a say in the promotion race, with Bolton, Barnsley and Pompey to play at home. I personally don't think they will make the play-offs, but whilst they have an outside chance, they could still do damage to other promotion contenders.
  14. Also to add in the mix of these fixtures are Blackpool (with an outside chance of making a play-off spot), who are surprisingly the team with the best home form. They still have Pompey, Barnsley and Oxford at home, plus still have away games against Bolton, Peterboro and Derby.
  15. Shame they are out of the EFL Trophy, that would cause more of a fixture pile up. Mind you Peterboro are still in that competition.
  16. Got mine at 10.05am and stated at the time there was 121 tickets left and that was all in the standing area behind the goal. Just waiting now for the ticket to arrive in the post.
  17. I might be wrong, but was'nt some of that £6.8m loss due to paying off some debts. Good post, agree with giving the youth some game time. Don't understand why Warne would keep sticking our young striker Brown on the bench regularly then send him out on loan to a non-league side. Some on here would say, "to improve his development" but the way I see it is different. Playing on loan with Gateshead, who don't have the same facilities as Moor Farm, nor have the same standard of coaches with their club compared with ours. And lastly playing against lower standard teams and with his Gateshead team mates also not being as good could halt his "development".
  18. Well Charlton still have us to play at Pride Park, plus games against Bolton, Barnsley and Stevenage, so if they do finish with a sprint they can win 3 of those top 6 teams matches and do us a favour.
  19. They got 2 bookings to our 5, the most stupid booking (by the Ref) was Sibley's, he had to wait to take the throwing when the ref allowed Charlton to make substitutions, then SECONDS later booked him for time wasting ? The Stats for fouls in the match, was 15 by Charlton and 12 by Derby. I know that good and bad decisions by refs normally end up being 50/50 but not what I've seen in this League one.
  20. Blimey I was at that game too. Carlisle were already relegated, we were already Champions. I was expecting a rout and we ended up 0-0. If fate turns out the same again, I would take a 0-0 draw.
  21. Managed to get a ticket last season, only because it's a Tuesday night game again. Will be logging on in the morning to get my ticket. Also went to the Plymouth game last season, had a fan from Belper next to me who was absolutely smashed, so drunk he kept leaning into me trying to keep his balance.
