  1. Taken from the FSA website. And that number 16 has taken on a new dimension with supporter solidarity hitting new levels as Port Vale fans have called on supporters across the game to clap on the 16th minute to mark Reading’s plight. The idea has been backed by the Supporters Trust At Reading (STAR) and campaign group Sell Before We Dai. While this isn’t a specific FSA initiative we do think it’s a lovely idea and would like to see stands where it’s taken off – if your supporters join in send us the clip via email or tag us on Twitter X @WeAreTheFSA and we’ll give it a share. ………….thoughts on this one folks. 👍😁 https://thefsa.org.uk/news/16-is-the-magic-number-at-reading/
  2. Ok, I’ll kick it off……………available on a free! 😯
  3. At the Independent Disciplinary Commission hearing Robert Weekes KC for the EFL said that a deduction in points would be inappropriate, and then went on to give four reasons why a financial sanction would be inappropriate…………the EFL then had to fine Reading £50,000 when the ruling never went their way and had to follow the Commission’s recommendations In the approach to sanctions Mr Weekes KC referred to EFL v Derby County. 4. The EFL have spoken. As Reading FC supporters are only too aware, it has in recent months become increasingly clear that Mr Dai Yongge is no longer in a position - or does not have the motivation - to support the Club financially as he did following the change of control in 2017.     In November 2023, the EFL called for the disqualification of Mr Dai following the failure to fund the deposit account to cover player and staff salaries following repeated breaches of EFL Regulations. This was ultimately rejected by an Independent Disciplinary Commission and a financial sanction was imposed instead.   The EFL has now received confirmation that Mr Dai did not meet last Friday’s latest deadline to fund the deposit account as ordered, meaning he has been in default for nearly four months.  As a result – and as per the terms of the 15 December decision - a further £50,000 fine has now been imposed, taking the total to £80,000.   His continued failings mean that once again the Club's hardworking staff have no reassurance as to payment of wages and demonstrates a clear disregard for his obligations as a director of the Club.   In respect of this issue, the League will now consider all available options it has under the Regulations and will have no hesitation in bringing further charges against Mr Dai.  In the meantime, and for the sake of the future of Reading FC, its staff, supporters, and local community we urge Mr Dai either to fund the Club adequately or to make immediate arrangements to sell his majority shareholding to appropriate new owners so everyone can move forward with renewed optimism.    For our part, we will work with Mr Dai, his team, and the Club plus any potential purchaser to navigate and meet the requirements of the Regulations as quickly as is physically possible and bring an end to this difficult period for all parties.    What followed the events at the end of last week were the unfortunate scenes on Saturday afternoon that led to the abandonment of the fixture versus Port Vale, and further demonstrated the impact the current situation is having on everyone associated with the Club.   However, entering the field of play is a criminal offence and puts the safety of all participants at risk.  The EFL Board will discuss events at Saturday’s match during its meeting later this week as it has a responsibility to the League’s member clubs and the competition to ensure all 72 Clubs meet the requirements of the rules as previously agreed by EFL Clubs.   ……………….should be interesting next Tuesday night. 👍🐏
  5. Bradley substitution…………..I’m going 72 minutes. 👍😃
  6. B4 April 2023……………………If ever we needed a rallying call. Well calling all derby fans to get really really really behind the lads we need get behind the lads lets have wall of noise and have sea of black and white let's have scafs flags and balloons let's cheer lads on into the play offs. The louder we are the better lads play. Let burton players shake with fear and let them think what on earth have we got our selfs into here. …………..no further comment required! 👍🐏
  7. Just been having a read on the Charlton forum regards Blackett-Taylor. Definitely leaving……….only us mentioned Out and out winger, pace to burn. Doesn’t put in a great shift defensively. 4-3-3 effective, 3-5-2 forget it. Creates plenty of chances, need runners from midfield getting into the box. The feeling is they’ll definitely miss him. Pinched from Charlton forum. CBT likely to be first out of the door as soon as Derby match our valuation. They've already (according to news reports) offered £250k, I expect £350k would do it. I do think we'll miss his pace on the break. CBT will get found out at another club after an initial 4/5 good games .. he will then go back to the way he played for us in the last 2/3 months I just hope it’s not one of the those all your eggs in one basket type transfer windows👍🐏
  8. ……..the lure of the championship! Corey is an athletic player, very much in the Yannick Bolasie mould, obviously far younger at twenty six but his build and pace is impressive. He has enjoyed a half season where he has scored eight league goals, primarily from the wings and assisted seven goals as well. He has taken quite a while to gain the attention of Championship clubs. Then there’s Derby County in League One which we are told was his preferred choice. However, the lure of the Championship, be that at Hull, Swansea or Millwall - all who have credible interest in him could be too much to ignore. As a Handsworth ( Birmingham ) product, his next location could determine his final choice of club. https://www.fansnetwork.co.uk/football/swanseacity/news/61686/swans-transfer-window-corey-blackett-taylor-interest-explained-and-chris-conn-clarke

  12. They’re up for this……..Fozzy isolated one on one all the time, at the moment it’s no contest.
  13. Bilokapic out injured, Talley in goals for Posh, the locals are panicking, crap against crosses……apparently.😁👍🐏
  14. I’m on manoeuvres for this one. 😁 Keeper Bilokapic went off injured last night, reserve goalie Talley who may well start on Monday made his debut and didn’t seem too keen on coming for crosses. Fergie had a bit of “banter” with a few of those sat in the stands. “I defended my players and said go home, in more colourful language than that.” The two League One clubs showing interest in Clarke-Harris, who scored twice on his first start after being left out for a couple of months are Charlton and …………..Fleetwood! Meanwhile ……….on their forum. I'll be happy with a draw. Derby are too good for this league. Local bragging rights for me round here for this one! 😃👍🐏
  15. Pinched from the Oxford forum. Just analysing their goals - and of course credit must be given to the quality of the deliveries into the box - but Hourihane’s superb corner looks to be flicked across goal by Fin Stevens for the first, Ciaron Brown yet again leaves his man free in the box from Cashin‘s brilliant ball to the back stick where Thompson heads past Beadle and Cashin easily steers in the third getting in front of Fin Stevens. Another top class delivery from Hourihane. Apart from those great balls in there were countless overloads down by both flanks all night and we simply could not stop them. The corner count in their favour was off the scale. We were in effect lambs to the slaughter after that great start but the pressure was mounting from then on to the finale. It was like the Alamo for 85 minutes. Derby arguably the best side seen at League One level in OX4 in the seven years we’ve been at the level. And I include Wigan 2017-18 in that. We were battered. ………………… seems fair comment! 😁👍🐏
  16. Just an update for the stats lads…………………makes for good reading. 👍🐏
  17. Att: 11,219 including 1,497 away Oxfords biggest crowd this season…………….well done to all. 👍🐏
  18. B4’s Sisters matchday record. Played 8, Won 7, Drawn 1, Goals For 17 Goals Against 5 …………….……im now convinced that someone somewhere is now definitely pulling a few strings. 👍🐑
  19. Just pinched this from the Oxford forum. Absolute state of the overflow tonight, worse than ever. Accident waiting to happen. …………can’t make out if the car park behind the goal is full or the bogs are blocked! 👍🐏
  20. Nelson………………....proper defender! 👍🐏
