  1. Pinched from Friday’s local paper. Bristol Rovers no longer interested in Jonson Clarke-Harris, but other League One clubs are. Peterborough United director of football Barry Fry has confirmed League One rivals Bristol Rovers are no longer interested in signing Jonson Clarke-Harris in January. But Fry, the transfer guru at the Weston Homes Stadiums, says two other League One clubs are interested in taking the 29 year-old double Golden Boot winner. Neither are thought to be promotion rivals of Posh. Fry said: “I’ve spoken to the Bristol Rovers owner and he said Joey Barton was the man behind trying to sign Clarke-Harris. The new manager is not interested so they won’t be coming back for him. "But two other League One clubs are interested so hopefully Jonno will get the move he deserves. He’s been brilliant for us.” …….thirteen matches since he started, out of contract in the summer, sounds a bit desperate from Barry.
  2. I apologise for my non “definitive” post……………it won’t happen again!

  17. Domestic Streaming From the 2024/25 season onward, this agreement makes more matches available to stream and will effectively replace the current Sky Sports EFL red button coverage and the EFL's domestic streaming option provided via iFollow and club streaming services. Domestic streaming audio services will remain alongside existing audio-visual arrangements for international audiences via iFollow and club streaming services. “international audiences”……..perhaps Owen B could throw a bit of light on what’s happening. 👍

  22. Here’s some depressing news! The International Football Association Board (IFAB), responsible for regulating the rules of football, will discuss on Tuesday, November 28, the need to extend the authority of Video Assistant Referees (VAR) to free kicks, corners, and second yellow cards. This information is reported by The Times. The FIFA-created working group on VAR has concerns that expanding the authority of video assistants will lead to even more significant delays in matches. https://footyroom.co/articles/the-times-ifab-the-regulator-of-football-rules-will-discuss-expanding-vars-powers-6564f7c7f6cd50482a721d62#google_vignette

  24. According to the Posh faithful around here Jonson Clarke-Harris has sniffed out a new club and with Chairman MacAnthohys blessing will definitely be on the move in January. Hasn’t started any of their last eight matches, fully fit on the bench, wasn’t even in the squad for last weeks EFL trophy game. Ferguson brings him on for the final 5-10 minutes just to pocket his win bonus ……………for information only! 😁
  25. Spot on. Came with a decent reputation, gets around the pitch well in front of the back four, my man of the match against Blackpool where he seemed to have a bit of a swagger about him, decent on the ball but I never quite got the plan of playing him with Smith. Then seemed to get the role of some kind of headless chicken pressing midfielder chasing down opposition full backs, maximum mileage, minimal impact. Substituted at half time against Cheltenham, substituted at half time against Shrewsbury been on the bench since then, now seems well down the pecking order in midfield. …………….shame.
