Watched a couple of films on Netflix over the weekend.
John Henry - really enjoyed this, violent action thriller.
Arkansas, I liked this, the wife didn't. Bit small town USA

And the Vega 64 is quicker than a 1080ti in this game as well.

Not that i have one!
I can spend £400 quid on a video card but have been hanging on to my 280x for ages hoping for a Vega refresh to up clock speeds and lower power. Probably won't happen, might have to wait for Navi.
Will only get nVidia if i absolutely have no option, not a fan of their practices and hey, i like the underdog ?

this was good! After I'd spent 10 minutes working out what they were saying.

Flight - Sky are running Denzel Washington movies atm and this was very good despite being a bit predictable
8/10
Speaking of Denzel, just seen Equalizer 2 and thoroughly recommend it.
Christopher Robin was really good as well I thought.

Finally managed to watch Baby Driver over Christmas.
Fantastic. 9/10.
Strange one for me, started well, great soundtrack, built up well but then the last third i think it lost it's way a bit.
still, worth a 7/10

The Foreigner starring Jackie Chan and Pierce Brosnan. Brutal, gritty and very well acted. Yes, there are martial art scenes from Mr Chan but not 'over done' as in some of his films. Great supporting cast led by Pierce Brosnan. This is worth a look. 8/10.
Agreed. Watched this the other day and Jackie Chan/Pierce Brosnan are excellent in this film, it's an 8/10 from me as well.

Effing Seagulls.
Wake me up at 4 in the morning,
Flapping, and endlessly squawking,
Me and my other have had enough,
Why don't they just, Flock Off.

Got Friday night at home all to myself, will be playing lots of Assetto Corsa and BF1.
There's nothing on the telly worth watching.

Well, I got Dirt Rally and Doom on PC
Haven't played them yet, too busy with my other presents.
Fanatec CSL Elite wheelbase and Formula wheel ?
Also, my son has FIFA and Pro Evolution on PS4 and he tells me Pro Evolution is actually better in terms of gameplay.
Time to switch @David

Sign Bamba and stick him in midfield next to Poyet
Imagine him and Paul Gascoigne in the same midfield eh? Parents would name their kids after these legends surely?

Will wait until 1070 1080 gpus get on the market then snap up a 970. I thought Doom 3 was very underrated. Doom 4 sounds and looks great.
Given that Polaris (RX480) will stomp on a 970 for less than 200 quid why would you even look at one?

Looking forward to getting stuck into Doom 4 later this year. I will need a gpu upgrade though. Any thoughts? Snapmap looks interesting.
As always, depends on your budget.
I would wait for Polaris to drop though before making any decisions.

Personally I can't wait for Battlefield 1, I adored BF1942 and although I like BF4 I much prefer a traditional setting without all the airstrikes/laser guided/modern-from-a-distance stuff.
If it was my choice I would like 1942 updated, that would be immense. Imagine Stalingrad or Berlin with destructible environments.
Anyway, we're slap bang in the middle of remembering the slaughter of 100 years ago so seems appropriate to me.
In other games, anyone get the Japanese DLC for Assetto Corsa? That MX-5 Cup is so much fun!

I guess I'm the only one playing Assetto Corsa? Properly, with a wheel and pedals of course.
Currently replaying Fallout 3 and itching to get Fallout 4, have to wait for crimbo though
On PC of course, consoles are for teenagers ( pokes hive with stick and runs away)

Cocteau Twins - Head Over Heels album followed by Eric and Bernards new holiday song entitled 'We're never going to Cornwall in the rain again' seeing as it pissed down all week last time we went.
