  1. Rosenoir as a football analyst was very good. Neville just likes the sound of his of his own voice.
  2. Just got back home. Two pints before the game at DW sport place good atmosphere good beer choice for the location no real ale. Record fair and Bustler market after the game good atmosphere poor craft beer choice given the location no real ale. Neptune good atmosphere real ale mediocre. Standing order good atmosphere good beer real ale. Dolphin good atmosphere good beer real ale. Shakespear good atmosphere good beer craft beer but no real ale. Bess good atmosphere nearly run out of beer, so never had a drink. Home bad atmosphere wife already gone to bed expect no conversation for several hours in the morning then a lecture about stopping out for so long. No beer for several days will have to treat her for a meal before I am allowed any beer again. 😂
  3. Thanks for reminding me about the year at my age the memory gets a bit fuzzy. 😀
  4. Only been on the pitch once after we beat Forest in the cup 2 nil a few years ago. It was never a preconceived idea just the spur of the moment had a few beers before the game in Derby and never thought we would win.
  5. Inflation is the result of continuing money printing and ever increasing debt, I cannot ever see it being under control for a very long time. In the US due to the decriminalisation of shop lifting, criminal gangs are raiding stores on a regular basis which is increasing prices for everyone as well. Peter Schiff reckons by 2031 the tax revenues in the US will only cover the debt repayments, social security, Medicare, military, this is why he has already left for the tax haven of Puerto Rico because he knows income taxes will be substantially higher. Even if the US came to its senses and elected a strong leader the opposition would be taking them to the courts all the time. At some point there is going to be an almighty crash and all assets will drop in value by approx 40% or inflation will remain high for a long time just like the seventies. If everything crashes and taxes are higher then Bitcoin will be used to avoid paying taxes. Only other possibility is go back to some kind of gold standard. As for the UK, if the US sneezes the rest of the world will catch a cold.
  6. Renewed mine on Tuesday at the ticket office. Should get a new safe standing season ticket before the start of next season..
  7. Tesla and Lexus are top when it comes to customer satisfaction in the luxury brand of cars. That’s an incredible achievement in a short space of time to be up there with Lexus. One my neighbours just bought a Tesla she loves driving it, she is a driving instructor so loves driving cars. https://insideevs.com/news/683064/tesla-lexus-top-customer-satisfaction-study/amp/
  8. Great video about Tesla cars if anyone is thinking of buying one. Quite shocked on the mega miles people are racking up in these EVs. Just read the very complementary comments section from real life owners in the you tube video. New battery technology upgrades as well. https://electrek.co/2024/04/24/tesla-expects-4680-battery-cells-cheaper-than-suppliers-end-of-year/
  9. You don’t have to buy just gold. Newmont gold mining company is up approx 30% since Peter Schiff bought it a couple of months ago. When the sell other assets from the Newcrest merger I would expect a handsome one off special dividend.
  10. Bitcoin priced in gold is 30% down from its ATH 2 1/2 years ago. Love these pair great debate and fun.
  11. I can remember a long time ago watching England school boys play Scotland at Wembley just after the formation of the Premier league and it was a really enjoyable game. After the match they interviewed the MOTM and asked him about his future ambitions in football. Without any hesitation he said being a millionaire was his ambition, I was shocked that someone that young was more interested in the money rather than winning the FA cup or Premier league or having a long and distinguished career playing for England. I used to love going to England games home and away and watching them on TV. I hardly know when the next fixture is nowadays or who is in the squad. The early rounds of the FA cup is about the only real enjoyment I get from football nowadays apart from watching the Rams and now the FA have ruined that now as well.
  12. Record fair until 7pm then craft beers at Bustler Market after the game.
  13. Just watched this she gives a very good guide of the pitfalls of buying crypto
  14. Yesssssssssssss Get in there 1st time ever I have predicted correct score and goal scorer on this forum conisides with virtually guaranteed promotion. 😂🏆🇬🇧🎉🍾🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿☕️🍺
  15. Musk has a proven track record of success which you cannot deny. People ridiculed Tesla and Space X years ago saying it would not work. When he takes SpaceX/Starlink public in five years time I expect X will be part of the deal. https://www.scottishmortgage.com/en/uk/individual-investors/holdings/space-exploration-technologies
  16. The change from Twitter to X obviously will be a slow process but change is happening that will increase users. Mistakes will be made same as Tesla and SpaceX but I would back Musk because he is a winner. https://help.twitter.com/en/using-x/direct-messages/audio-video-calls
  17. Advertisers want social media users
  18. This, what is racist today post reminds me why I hardly ever read this thread anymore. If you disagree with my opinion on this conflict you must be a racist attitude is exactly why no solution will be found any time soon. Over and out
  19. Going by the recent decisions by the FA they are only interested in big money sponsors and advertisers not the average football fan.
  20. The only football my wife really likes to watch on TV nowadays is the F.A. cup early rounds. Watching a lower league club win or draw against a team from a higher league is all part of the romance of the FA Cup. Hopefully a backlash against this ridiculous decision will make them change their minds but not holding my breath. They will simply pander to every whim of the teams that keep threatening to leave to a European super league and it will only get worse was my statement when the Premier league was formed and nothing has changed my mind ever since.
