Presumably all tickets have now been released and sold for Barnsley now that the website is showing as sold out and the update today said that the allocation had been increased (slightly) to 4,891.

Get on the waiting list anyone still after a ticket. A few of us have found this to be successful in the past.

    Waiting list?

  2. Maybe the rivalry is over. They have their obsessives of course, stuck in their tiny rooms - ooh Derby lost to Crewe. BTW whats the song that Everton always sing about knowing your history. But its very difficult to get excited about Forest these days. Mid-table in the league forever maybe. Going nowhere but at great expense. A squad full of foreign mercenaries who we don't even know and therefore can't yet despise. Still, if they're happy. Bless. We (and they) miss the times when it was a very local affair. We all miss the times when the passion was there, when players (and managers) crossed the divide for instance. I think they'll find they'll miss us much more than they think. At least it looks like they'll get their old rivalry with Leicester back next time. Good luck with that. Here's to meeting again someday.

  3. I don't know if this is the right place for this, Or even the right topic. But here goes.

I have a selection of Derby scarves (5) which I have tried to sell on ebay. (I have sold others). This was unsuccessful and I'm now thinking that I'd like to offer them to a local charity shop, for them to (hopefully) benefit from their sale.

So, I'm wondering what people think - which charity shop would accept them and/or which charity would you recommend? Preferably a local charity?

  4. We need a talisman (and a striker of course). We need the new messiah aka Igor Stimac. I thought it might be Hourihane but the task seems a bit beyond him. These mostly average players can perform but we need a leader (or 2) out there. PS what is James Collins job description I wonder.

  5. Watching from afar at the weekend (our usual pub in London Waterloo). It was emotional, thinking this is how Curtis Davies bows out. But he's over it and I think we are all too. Doesn't reflect on his tremendous time at DCFC. Love you Curtis and thanks for everything.

  6. From where I sit here in London it seems like a lot of love and respect has been expressed for Dennis. Only ever met you many years ago but best wishes to you, all your friends and family. It's become a cliche but he is/was one of Derby's finest.

  7. I may have missed posts earlier but ...

Isn't the 32 Red deal ending now. And isn't the 32 Red deal been helping to finance Rooney's time at Derby.

And, just think that the last season might just be the most important season in Rooney's managerial career.

I thought the same about Lampard and so far I'm right. If only the lad wasn't so ...

And so wondering. Could we possibly pay Rooney so much. Of course not. Any money we may have needs to be directed elsewhere.

Austerity is back. With or without Rooney we need to rebuilding with youth (if there are any left) and 3 or 4 f those old troopers who will love the chance to get stuck in. Football, being their game.

  8. I suspect that somehow that Boro fans will be encouraged to get behind their team for this one. They're doing well on the pitch and I reckon the attitude will be to rise above any beef with DCFC. And, the police will nick anyone for the slightest, just to remove them fom the occasion. There will be lots of crap sung from both ends. I might be old fashioned but it'd be great to hear Derby get behind the team in a positive way. If Boro want to indulge in "party" songs then that really is a problem of their own inadequacies and let's not let it bother us. If we worry about Mr Gibson, just leave it, it'll al come out in the wash anyway. Be up for it and don't let the bustards get you down/wind you up.

  9. Great thread and well done EllaFella for starting it. My Baseball Ground experience started in 1967 (Millwall 3-3) although my memory of that day is pretty much gone (have to dig the programme out for a refresher). But general memories of the BBG then and in the 70s are just of tremendous excitement and anticipation (and yes it did involve the prospect of running into the away fans and what might ensue). I don't think I appreciated at the time what I was seeing on the pitch, too young maybe to take in that something really great and memorable and history-making was taking place. When they first spoke or relocating I, like a lot of people I guess, was very much against it, thinking somehow we could redevelop the BBG. But of course that idea was just silly and we moved on.

Someone has mentioned the 1976 semi-final and that, along withe the Leicester play-off, has always been very hard to take. Still not over 1976 when we got a kicking on and off the pitch. Great memories though and looking forward to Brentford tomorrow. COYR!
