  1. Good run down the left by McAndrew who crosses low into Allen and shoots just wide
  2. Man Utd scored a well work goal curled onto the fsr side of the net. Ruled out for offside.
  3. Started the last 10 games since returning from injury, scoring 4 goals
  4. Not far off a full strength U18 side, with Cox being the main absentee.
  5. Once prior to security and once when at the gate. It used to be fairly common to also have it 'checked' when boarding the plane, but it seems to rarely happen to me nowadays (probably because I have bags in one arm and a toddler in the other.
  6. In the league only, minutes played per yellow are: 1. Thompson - 201 2. Collins - 248 3. Hourihane - 260 4. Sibley - 280 5. Forsyth - 325 6. Cashin - 325 7. Washington - 496
  7. From that list there are 68 I haven't watched all the way through or not at all. I haven't watched these all the way through: Godfather (x3), Schindler's List, Casablanca, Citizen Kane, Singing in the Rain, Goodfellas, Fargo And these at all: Raging Bull, Lawrence of Arabia, Vertigo, On the Waterfront, Sunset Blvd., West Side Story, 2001: A Space Odyssey, Chinatown, Dr Stangelove, Some Like It Hot, Ben-Hur, Amadeus, From Here to Eternity, Unforgiven, A Streetcar Name Desire, The Philadelphia Story, An American in Paris, The Best Years of Our Lives, My Fair Lady, Doctor Zhivago, The Searchers, Patton, The Treasure of the Sierra Madre, The Apartment, Platoon, High Noon, Dances with Wolves, The Pianist, The Deer Hunter, All Quiet on the Western Front, Bonnie and Clyde, The French Connection, City Lights, It Happened One Night, A Place in the Sun, Midnight Cowboy, Mr Smith Goes to Washington, Annie Hall, Giant, Shane, The Grapes of Wrath, Close Encounters of the Third Kind, Nashville, Network, The Graduate, American Graffiti, Terms of Endearment, The African Queen, Stagecoach, Mutiny on the Bounty, The Great Dictator, Double Indemnity, The Maltese Falcon, Wuthering Heights, Rear Window, The Third Man, Rebel Without a Cause, North by Northwest, Yankee Doodle Dandy
  8. Who's Eboseli? We certainly won't have a chance of signing our academy graduate, Festy Ebosele. He's played in every league game this season in Serie A, starting 12 out of the last 13 games (half time sub in the other)
  9. Wildsmith Nelson Cashin Fornah Bird Ward Wilson Sibley Mendez-Laing Barkhuizen John-Jules
  10. Believe it or not, there is a lot of time during the year when Derby haven't got a game. In fact, we aren't playing 99% of the time.
  11. Hourihane has a worse mins per booking ratio than Sibley. It doesn't matter who plays more or less. This is also despite Sibley making 1.8 successful tackles per 90 vs Hourihane's 1.5
  12. The only red he's ever had in professional football was the one against West Brom which got overturned. He picks up less yellows than Hourihane, yet few people comment on it.
  13. 2-1 loss in the end. Allen scored in the 80th minute to pull us level. We lost to a 98th minute own goal
  14. Not many non-league options at the moment. Levi Amantchi - 23 years old with 13 goals in 20 NLS games for Maidstone. He's an absolute unit in terms of height, strength, and still being quite agile, so would be a handful for more or less any defence. Had a trial game for Boro U21s a couple of years ago. Stephen Wearne - a 22 year old CM (can play on the wing or at AM) with 10 goals and 10 assists in 20 games for Gateshead (NL). He's a willing runner with a fantastic first touch. Was at Newcastle's academy until 16, then moved to Boro followed by Sunderland, so understands what it's like at a larger club with decent facilities.
  15. It becomes even less surprising when the likes of Festy and Cashin were close to being released too. With Archie, I felt he was best at LW but he was adamant about being a LB. He didnt look settled at LB at U21 level until the 2nd half of his last season with us. I can slightly understand the decision if staff made a decision based on who we already had in the first team in that position (Forsyth and Buchanan), and had coming through in younger age groups (Williams, Moloney, Gill, etc...).
  16. Everton and Burnley linked
  17. Points based system requirements (have fun deciphering them): Original GBE criteria Update, regarding number of players each club can sign outside of the points based system dependant on league: New GBE criteria
  18. Wgat do we need? A new club record. The most points we gained in a season was 85 in 13/14. We also gained 63 points in 55/56 during our 1st spell in the 3rd division, back when it was 2 points for a win (equivalent to 91 points)
  19. Ahh yes... both teams have scored 34 goals and conceded 16. Portsmouth even have the benefit of playing 1 extra game. Getting only 2 points from Cambridge, Cheltenham, Shrewsbury and Stevenage whilst conceding 5 goals is one of the main reasons why we're 9 points behind Portsmouth.
  20. Yet have only scored 3 more than us in the league and conceded 4 more. 8 goals were scored against Man Utd U21s, with 9 against Solihull and Harrogate in the FA Cup fixtures.
  21. You can currently buy the hardback (used) for about £15, or paperback (new or used) for £25 or more. I managed to pick up a copy for less than £5 from World of Books a few years ago. https://amzn.eu/d/ihhfYBt
  22. A Graeme and a Scot. He most certainly is not a Scott.
  23. Using Faris Moumbagna as an example: International apps, 1 game, rank 43rd = 0 points League rep, band 5 = 4 points League apps: 80-89% of mins, band 5 = 3 points League position, 1st, band 5 = 2 points European competition, 90% of mins in Conference League = 2 points European stage, need to reach semis for 1 point = 0 points His total is therefore 11 points, meaning he would fail the work permit rules (15 required). However, League One clubs are permitted to sign 2 players who don't meet the requirements, whilst Championship clubs can sign up to 4. It's therefore more or less redundant as we can sign at least 2 overseas players.
  24. I've seen enough to drop their names into a suggestion thread
