  1. Notts County - 90 mins played (mostly on the wings), 2 goals Shrewsbury - 90 mins played (RW) Exeter - 71 mins (AM) Stevenage - 45 mins (AM), 1 assist Northampton - not used Crewe - 11 mins (AM), 1 assist Barnsley - 5 mins (CF) Crewe - 59 mins (RW), 1 assist That's 2 goals and 3 assists in just 371 minutes over the past 5 weeks.
  2. At least we've brought Bradley on for the final 5 minutes to help us pull back 2 goals.
  3. Possible names in the first team squad tonight therefore being: Evans, Moore, Cox, Fapetu, Allen, Davidson (injured?), Weston
  4. I previously suggested Callum Marshall from West Ham, but I doubt how realistic it would be now. 14 goals and 2 assists in 9 U21 games (2 goals against Bristol Rovers and 1 against Cheltenham).

  7. Embleton was signed to play as an AM, so I'd be surprised if we don't sign another in January. Few players in L2 have more shots and create more chances than Kemp, so he's definitely someone I would be looking at depending on cost and ending his loan early. Al Hamadi is one of those few players with a higher attacking contribution. However, CFs with a high creative output, especially young ones, will be in high demand. As for wingers, I'd still be trying to get Demetri Mitchell from Exeter. He should be available fairly cheaply with his contract expiring in the summer. Same level of attacking output as Mendez-Laing, but in a struggling Exeter side. He'll also slot into the LWB role when we inevitably s*** to 3 at the back again.
  8. Excluding players on loan from PL and Championship clubs, these are some of the best young players in League 2... Sam Stubbs - 24 year old CB at Bradford. Son of Alan Stubbs. Aerially dominant, but a bit slow and not the best passer. Out of contract at the end of the season. Jayden Fevrier - 20 year old wing back at Colchester. 1 goal and 6 assists in 18 games this season. Dan Kemp - 24 year old AM at Swindon on loan from MK Dons. 11 goals and 5 assists in 18 games. Ali Al Hamadi - 21 year old CF at Wimbledon. Had a short trial with our U21s 2 years ago. 6 goals and 5 assists in 17 games this season. Freddie Draper - 19 year old CF at Walsall on loan from Lincoln. Previously in our academy, but has 8 goals and 2 assists in 14 games Isaac Olaofe - 23 year old CF at Stockport. 12 goals and 2 assists in 19 games. Jake Young - 22 year old CF at Swindon on loan from Bradford. 12 goals and 4 assists in 17 games.
  9. DRobinson is available as he doesn't join up with N.Ireland U21s until the next day. I forgot about Fornah's callup, so I imagine one of Smith, Hourihane and Bird will start.
  10. I agree. From the replays, where the camera is in the West Stand, you can barely see contact at all - partly because the camera is behind Collins and the defender. However, from my position in the South Stand, you could clearly see his hands were raised. The way Collins fell onpy looked possible from a push.
  11. Vickers DRobinson Bradley Cashin Elder Fapetu Fornah Wilson Weston Sibley Collins Subs: Loach, Cox, Nelson, Hawkins, Allen, Barkhuizen, Wheeldon
  12. Highlights don't tell the full story. Up until the goal, we had more shots (4 vs 3), more dribbles (4 vs 0), more tackles (7 vs 1), more corners (4 vs 2), etc.. However, all 3 of their shots came during a 10 minute spell of questionable decisions against us by the ref, starting with the yellow for Colllins.
  13. All aboard the 'Warne in train'. Destination: Championship It feels like a big week to me. Warne's decision to play so many youngsters in the cup has helped galvanise everyone - first team, academy, fans. The U18s continued it with a controlled win in the FA Youth Cup. The first team finished the week with what I hope is the defining point of our season. We played very well and beat a top 6 side. Under Mac in the 13/14 season, it wasn't until Feb when we beat QPR when the club started to believe 'this will be our year' and have the self belief to beat other top 6 sides. This win over Barnsley should have the same effect.
  14. My post was directly responding to needing 1 more winger to add to thr 3 we already have (Mendez-Laing, Wilson, Barkhuizen)
  15. 62 career goals in 467 appearances doesn't scream 'goalscorer' to me
  16. Need a goal scorer. All 3 of those are more creators than scorers.
