  1. Appologies if I misread what you posted then. It's hard to keep up when only you have suggested players over the past 8 pages of this thread. Your post suggested we go in for him if Blackburn aren't interested in him anymore, but didn't directly state waiting for him to run down his contract. This is also the summer suggestion thread, so you can see why I got mixed up. However, your squad, assuming all out of contract players leave and all of your suggestions join: GK: Vickers, Kelly, McCrorie, Slicker, Wickens RCB: Nelson, Nyambe, Rooney, Welsh CB: Bradley, Souttar, McKenna, Mayo, Hamilton LCB: Cashin, Worrell, Wood, Deas RWB: Ward, Wilson, Strain, Ralston, Mulligan, Johnston LWB: Elder, Beck CM: ACampbell, Watson, Barron, Miller CM: Fornah, Baccus, Irving, JCampbell, Jack RW: Armstrong, Cameron, Doak, Poveda LW: Mendez-Laing, Blackett-Taylor CF: Washington, Bair, McBurnie, Nouble, Bowie, Hornby, McGuire Only a respectable 48 man squad. A couple more and we'll have as many as Forest.
  2. We're undefeated under this ref: Morecambe, November 2022 - 1-1. The ref awarded us 2 penalties and both were saved. Oxford, March 2023 - 3-2 win Bolton have won 2, drawn 3 and lost 1. 1 penalty awarded for and 1 against.
  3. Bolton have only won 2 out of their last 6 games. Interestingly, they have won both of the games against sides who fielded 4 at the back, drawing 2 and losing 2 against sides with 3/5 at the back. In fact, since New Year, they have only beaten a 3/5 at the back side on three occasions (Burton, Cheltenham and Carlisle), all of which are in the bottom 6 of the table. Their only other wins being Wycombe, Cambridge (twice), and Oxford on Tuesday. All wins agaisnt weaker sides, including Oxford who have picked up just 14 points in 13 games since we beat them.
  4. Further proof you don't know what you're talking about. You're using a small 4 game period to justify your argument. Your argument is like saying Kane will go 6 games without a goal to "even out" his xG and actual goals. Why can't you see some players are better at finishing than others?
  5. I always thought the only way their owner will leave is by putting them into administration first. I think this makes that even more likely to happen
  6. But he will cost a sum of money if a club wants to sign him in the summer, hence why Blackburn had agreed a sum of money to pay in the summer. he won't be a free signing.
  7. Where does that say what Blackburn had agreed to pay prior to the deal falling through?
  8. "the club paid a loan fee of $700k, for McGuire, with the option to buy at $7m plus $2.5m in add-ons." Slightly out of our price range
  9. @Dryhorce how many of these players do you think we should sign? Where do they fit into next season's squad (first choice, backup, U21s)? If first choice, what happens to a high earner they're displacing? Do any of them suit the style of play Warne wants us to play?
  10. After we played them on the 28th of October, they had a 1.63 ppg). In the 21 games since, they've averaged 1.67 ppg, so fairly consistent throughout the season. The bigger difference though is our own. At the time we were still inconsistent and found ourselves 10th in the table with 21 points from 14 games. Since, we've picked up a mighty 54 points from our 24 games - 9 points and 4 wins more than the next best side during the same time period. From what I remember of that game itself, our passing was awful and committed a number of fouls in dangerous areas (them scoring from 2 of them). Their 3rd came from us chasing an equaliser.
  11. Based on the very limited number of times I had seen him play , I thought he was the most promising CB to have come through our academy since the early/mid 00's. I thought he was a 'complete CB' - good on the ball, decent pace, and strong in the air.
  12. A really odd move in the end. Hardly played for their U18s in the season he joined them. A regular the following season (19 league apps out of 24). Then nothing for their U23s this season, but was given a 45 minute trial by Stoke in August (a game they lost 10-1). From what I understand, Brighton released him in January.
  13. It was also a decimated U23 side, with several of them regularly training with the first team so became unavailable due to the Covid group thingy. Yates was possibly 5th choice GK, behind Ravas, Idem, Sykes-Kenworthy, and Foster. Outfield, we were missing: Archie Brown, JBrown, Cashin, McDonald, Watson, Dixon, Shonibare, Wilson, Mitchell-Lawson, Hector-Ingram and Stretton. Festy had only just returned from injury and was only fit enough for a spot on the bench.
  14. Big call. Surprised it took so long to book him
  15. Cracking header and very unlucky not to ripple thr net
  16. Brown has earned a start in the league tonight. It would probably take a goal to keep his starting spot at the weekend.
