It's inevitable that it will be overused. Referees aren't going to make important decisions without recourse to VAR because they know the vile abuse that will come if they get something wrong. Look how it is overused for run outs in cricket - even if the batter is miles out, the umpires will have another look on the video.

Yep. VAR is the proof that the abusers have won. People who are not mature enough to accept it when something doesn't go their way. People who never had to grow up.
