  1. As Derby are re born...surely it's time we named the South Stand and the rest of them for that matter.  Not a fan of a sponsored stand as they come and go...apart from the Toyota West stand.  We could go back to an old stand name from the BBG, a Legend or something completely new and fresh?

    I'll start the ball rolling.....

    South Stand - 1884

    North Stand - Railway End

    East Stand - Popside

West Stand - Toyota (Steve Bloomer Upper & Lower) Stand

Just tried to renew on my phone and get an error message. Then tried to renew via laptop and get a message to say seat already occupied and I need to ring the back office. I assume that means the premium rate number between 10 and 4. Anybody have similar issues with a solution. I doubt I can ring tomorrow as have back to back meetings and no doubt phone lines will be busy?

Yep - exactly the same.  Tried 5 times to renew 3 and pay online - errors each time on payment......then seats not available???

  3. It tells us that we nearly went out of business last year, DC saved us at the eleventh hour and we could only sign players on a 2 year contract maximum with a salary cap to play in League 1.  Restrictions may have eased but we are not yet operating at the full League 1 version of FFP - which is Revenue based and I believe would allow for 60% of turnover to be spent on wages.  Then you will see a bigger budget and we can flex our muscles.  However, I do not expect DC ever to splash the cash under his watch.

  4. Is the time right for a Stadium Sponsor?

With every ground we visit at this level being sponsored - does it make financial sense to take a 2 year naming rights deal to see us through the EFL restrictions etc?  This would make good business sense as League 1 spend is related to turnover.

We don't have to go mad (as per the IPRO fiasco), but maybe a 2 year deal worth £1m would certainly pay some bills.

    staff/players.

University of Bradford Stadium is a good example - local institution looking raise their awareness to attract more students spending £9k a year per course.. You only need to attract an additional 111 students over 2 years to get your money back!

  5. See below current sponsors.  Imagine if you could only buy from a club sponsor? - Go to Derby Uni, work at Toyota drive a BMW, drink Marstons, eat Greggs, play Golf at Morely Hayes and live in a Chevin Home.

  6. Or....leave him on his current contract, see how it goes and then make it permanent with a new contract when the season is well under way and we can judge over a decent amount of games.  Rather than - here's a new 3 year deal now and then sack him after 10 games without a win and have to pay him off ( like some of our previous appointments over the years).  Most of the new signings were identified when Rooney was still here - so I would imagine that they would not of signed if Rooney and then Rosenior go before a ball is kicked.

  7. Away tickets - open to everyone on a first come first served basis.  If that means queing up around PP ticket office or waiting online at 8.59am...then so be it.  Previous away games attended is not really the best metric to apply a priority, neither is paying for a membership to allow you to have priority - you could say both are a form of discrimination.  There maybe an argument for season ticket holders to get first refusal - but again would affect the ability to go from a large number of fans living outside of Derbyshire.  E.g. if you were a rams fan living across the road from Exeter's ground for example.  As a previous poster stated - many clubs will have small away ends and if we sold upwards of 1500+ memberships - you could still miss out and pay £40 for the privilege.  Looks like a no win scenario and I expect to see many rams fans in the home end throughout the season - something I know Sunderland fans did regularly.

  8. 10,000+ season tickets sold in 2 days with no dd option yet is impressive. I imagine the 3rd party company is frantically setting up the facility and it takes time. Although fans see it as a direct debit - usually there is an element of credit agreement involved.  I.e you pay more for a season ticket via DD ( and DCFC get their money upfront & to stop people cancelling the DD if results go down the pan after 6 games etc). Financial checks/process need to be completed and we have only been trading a week.

Once available - you will see another surge similar to the last 2 days - DCFC will not allow this option not to be available at risk of undoing their good work so far.  Not sure why the panic - their seats are reserved till 29th July - that's 3 weeks to get it sorted.

For comparison - Birmingham have only sold 8,877 season tickets so far.......mind you their ground is falling apart and they are in the middle of a farcical takeover by Bassini (sound familiar?) - just listen to his interview on Talksport this morning.

  9. Looks like we'll be raiding the lost property for tomorrow's kit at Bradford.  I'll be eagerly awaiting an array of similar coloured tops (Long/Short Sleeve & Vests ranging from Small boys to double XL mens) and wildly amusing selection of massive shorts and odd socks as they run out.  Fully expect at least one player to be barefoot and one in a pair of shiney shoes.
