There’s a section of the south stand high up towards the away fans who seem more obsessed singing songs slagging other Derby fans off than they do supporting the team. It’s something that’s emerged this season.

Any slight lull and it’s “silence as usual”, “south stand’s a library’ or yesterday’s joy, “support your team or f-off home”. Been going on a few games now, finally other supporters started giving them some back and then an argument ensued.

So yesterday, as has been the way recently, the atmosphere in that stand hasn’t been good, made worse by some fans doing the old trick of “we’re better fans because we sing more” routine. It’s just arrogant and divisive, and for that matter wrong. Fortunately the team turned up second half just before it started getting ugly.

Then in response to the manager’s excellent subs and shift in players, we got right on top of Stevenage, we played some good football, the supporters responded and the rest has been well covered in this thread regards the atmosphere.

    Well said @VulcanRam.

The D block have become a hindrance to the atmosphere in the southstand in my opinion.

    We're all Derby aren't we?

I'm frustrated we have had such appalling decisions against us all this season and last, yet we never try to put pressure on refs this way. It is part of the modern game and it's potentially a way of sowing doubt in the referee's mind and getting that extra 1% that might make the difference between promotion and not. Instead, when Warne does comment on decisions, it's "Sibley made a shocking challenge and it should have been a penalty". Meaning a ref can feel more able to give a decision against us because our own manager has claimed we've got lucky before.

Its a good point you're making but that's the difference between honesty and deceit isn't it? You could lie/deceive to try get that extra 1% chance you mentioned or you can be honest, have morals and stick to your principles. Warne has chosen the latter and that's commendable, fatty has chosen the former and that's why he's a dislikable p****.

  3. Today was pathetically bad. The quality of football was absolutely dross.

If Warne gets us up the chances of him keeping us up are zero in my opinion.

I look at what Ipswich did last season and are doing this season and we're a million miles away from what we "could be".

Bottom line is the football isn't good enough, I can accept poor results if we're playing the right way but the football is awful so draws like today become completely unacceptable.
