StaffsRam
Absolutely gutted. I'm a huge supporter of the space programme, and Neil's always been one of my heroes since I was a nipper. Hero, legend, are terms that are banded around far too easily these days, but this guy was the first human to set foot on another celestial body. He'll be remembered forever. RIP Neil. Boycie
What a shame, he's experienced things I doubt we'll ever experience in the next 5 generations. A true brave hero, rest in peace Mr Armstrong.!
uttoxram75
"It suddenly struck me that that tiny pea, pretty and blue, was the Earth. I put up my thumb and shut one eye, and my thumb blotted out the planet Earth. I didn't feel like a giant. I felt very, very small." Neil Armstrong, RIP. uttoxram75
I remember reading years ago that the leaders of the main American political parties were worried about Astronauts becoming politicians. Apparently, once you've seen the earth from thousands of miles away and realised how tiny we are compared to the universe, it makes you realise the futility of humans fighting each other over false gods and man made boundaries or for greed and natural resources.
