Well done, bet you're a happy bunny.

My daughter got a B in English and Psychology and a D in law (eek) she was 6 marks off a C so she's retaking it next year. It's only half time for her, so hopefully, she'll get the grades for Uni next year.

Those aren't bad grades at all, most people struggle with one subject in Year 12 and I had a disappointing set of results last summer. I managed to turn it around with a few resits and a year's A Level experience under my belt. Course it's better to do well in AS than not but it's still not the end of the world and only resitting one isn't a bad position to be in.

Your daughter will be fine, she'll definitely get into Uni.

Well done Eveready Rabbit,

You'll like Snotts Uni.

They have 14 bars on campus - its a good old fashioned bar crawl that is. Unofficially it's called the campus 14 but officially it's banned because drunkards kept falling in the lake after they had done it.

Yep, I will like Snotts then. 14 bars will do.

Isn't it somewhere around £50k for a degree now? Forget that, I'm sure Boycie can knock you up a degree certificate for a tenner... I got my third degree from the missus the other night.

Don't do what Dav did once, ventured into Notts, got well and truly bladdered and woke up the next morning in a phone box. I've always avoided thinking what he could have shared the floor space with..... Congrats to all who got the grades they wanted.

All the best to those who needed better results. It all builds character.

Commiserations to all of you going to Uni nowadays and having to pay through the nose for your degree.

My advice is to go to uni only if you know exactly what you will be doing with the qualification you come out with at the end.

A lot of folk are considering apprenticeships and I know of very few former apprentices who regret going down this route.

Just be sure about the value of the qualification because it's not just having to pay back the grant. It is about investing 3 years of your future.

I am impressed with the intelligence of the majority of young folk I meet and the recognition of the need for common sense. Get the right advice, recognise it when you get it, and follow your dreams and aspirations.

It's your life so live it to the full 'http://www.dcfcfans.co.uk/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wub' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

Nah theres more letters than numbers in A-level. More general rules and algebra, from observation and memory. I found a good website with past papers and online text books once - if I find it again I will put the link up.

I'm a maths teacher- not taught much a-level stuff yet though

A* in maths

A in history business studies citizenship and technology

B in english and science

C in spanish

chuffed to pieces

Well done buddy, taken the first free opportunity the state gives you to show the world what you're about. Don't let anyone tell you GCSEs are nothing, and an A* is really something to be proud of.

Eat yer greens, go to Sixth Form and support the Rams.
