Colin Gibson Leaving Radio Derby

He has passed his sell by date, I personally hate his smug sounding voice. But he sounds like he really loves the rams.

But, on being asked if he will still watch Derby, he said probably not.

Why? Cos the tight barsteward has had a free ticket for the last 30 years!

Peel an orange in his pocket he can.

A couple of you got quoted in the DET - surprisingly Boycie was not one of them.... 'http://www.dcfcfans.co.uk/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' />

Must add this.

Colin Bloomfield commentates as if you are watching it as well. A bit like a tv commentator at times.

The penalty shoot out was like pulling teeth, when the scored you could hardly tell.

When they scored in open play there was no change in his level of excitement.

Even when we scored, it wasnt that clear, you heard the crowd cheer in the back ground before he said anything.

In my opinion, Ed Dawes has done better when he stands in. Plus he's a proper Rams fan, and knows what's expected.

I hope he's being lined up to take over the commentary.

Sorry it's off topic, but I didn't want to start a new thread.

Don't get me wrong though, Bloomers seems a very nice lad, and I like him on the day time show.

When I first started following the Rams, and couldn't get to games, I'd listen to RD - Richards, Gibbo and who was the other old fella? Think it was before Eric Steele.

Haven't listened to RD for years - Wasn't much for Fletcher, even less so for Bloomers.

Ahh, them were the days. I like the one when gabbiadini scored to level too.

And when Paul Williams scored that volley against villa.

And Kitson's goal! Great game in fact that one.

Paul Williams - Brilliant for us, but whenever I hear his name now, I just think "Head the fooking ball!"

^^ some great clips there isn't there?

Shame they're Real Media - have previously tried to rip them and make them into MP3s, but can't be done. Fooking BBC.

I'm sure it can, I've got them all downloaded but left them as RM 'cos I can play them fine.

Sorry - yes you can, providing you play them through RM Player, which I loathe! 'http://www.dcfcfans.co.uk/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

Have a look at the size of the files that you've downloaded - are they bigger than 1k? RM files are just links.

If you've got them as anything else though I'd be obliged if you could remember how you got them!
