Ferrer is one of the best all-rounder tennis player ever not to win a major tournament...

The guy is a sublime tennis player and especially on Clay.. If it wasn't for Nadal beating him in the semi-final he would have won that..

Murray is easily the best hard-court player not to win a major.. The Australian and US Open are realistically the only 2 he can win, as on clay and on grass he isn't even a top 6 player IMO.. But on hard-court he's really good, better than Nadal IMO

Grass court - Djokovic/Federer/Nadal are all as good as eachother and this is a big chance for Feds to win another tournament

Clay - Nadal then Ferrer then Djokovic then Feds

Hard-Court - Djokovic then Murray then Feds/Nadal are equally as good with Ferrer a little behind those 4..

I couldn't go that long without several comfort breaks. But in tennis, too long an interruption can change the whole complexion of the game. Rain interrupted a Henman semi as he was coasting to victory only to lose within 20 mins of the restart to Ivanisovich who went on to win the tournament.

Come on Tim sorry Andy.

He limped out of that semi.

Out on Court Three, Yaroslava Shvedova has taken the first set 6-0 against the French Open runner-up Sara Errani. But that doesn't begin to tell the story. She didn't concede a single point, winning it 24 points to nil.

More on Yaroslava Shvedova's golden set against Sarra Errani: my colleague Simon Cambers informs me that she's the first player to win a set at Wimbledon without conceding a point, and it's only the second time it's happened at tour level – on either the women's or men's side (the other player to do it was Bill Scanlon in 1983). Coincidentally, Shvedova also had the previous WTA record for unanswered points, which was 23. She went on to lose that particular match 1-6, 6-0, 6-0. An ominous sign? Let's see. She's finding it far tougher in the second set, it's four games all.

The golden girl Shvedova is through, 6-0, 6-4, to face the winner of the current Centre Court battle.

Interesting no?
