what with our budget..............JUST THOSE 3?! c'mon be ambitious, Kee, Lambert, McGugan and Maynard! easilly! we'll probably sign more tbh. Maybe Suarez too. He's out of favour at the KOP atm, maybe put in a sneaky vid?

or a sneaky bid?

Good shout but have we got the £3m that West Ham have supposed to bid? Why did I even type that.....

Rhodes is the top striker in the football league for me, I'm surprised they rejected West Hams 3million outright though, but I suppose he does have more goals than games played so they won't let go easily.

Perhaps 6-12 months ago it may have been a possibility but at the minute seems unlikely at best.

Few names for me..

Lewis Mcgugan - very out of favour at Forest, he has ability though no question that, would like to see us go after him, on loan or otherwise, his wages will be too much for Forest as it is.

Lloyd Dyer - out of favour at Leicester, sure he used to be a good player..

Darron Gibson - a player who as stagnated at United, not rated all that highly.. loan with a view to a permanent when he is out of contract perhaps.

Ryan Noble - a player who has hit hundreds in youth level football, came on loan here.. out of contract in the summer same as above?

Grant Leadbitter - another bright young player who has stagnated in the prime of his career, and is it right he is also out of contract end of the season?

Andy Keogh - another good player out of contract, presumably will join Leeds though..

I think we'll ay to look further a field sooner rather than later... Wonder if Jim Smith left any of his videos behind 'http://www.dcfcfans.co.uk/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh' class='bbc_emoticon' alt='' />

I would say his free-kicks were DEADLY.

McGugan is average at best. Ben Davies is utter ****.

I remember when we played a fantastic Ipswich side away under George Burley and lost 3-2, but before the game the then Ipswich manager Joe Royle (top manager - fantasic football) said Idiakez not only was the best ball-striker in the Championship but was the best ball striker in England..

No denying he strikes the ball so sweetly, some of his goals and shots were just incredible.. That goal against Plymouth at home when he also hit the post and bar was the best freekick I've ever seen live.. Superb.

Lewis McGugan has a decent freekick and great technique (I've seen it since were playing football together when we were like 11) but Idiakez was and always will be on a completely different level.

As for Ben Davies, set piece specialist your having a laugh.. He's not even the best set piece taker in our team, Bywater could give him a run for his money when it comes to ball striking.
