Player Suggestion Thread

with savage gone, green injured, addison out on loan, leacock out in the cold, bailey having fitness problems, and clough reluctant to over expose hendrick there is a case for another defensive midfielder.

i still tend to think we've got enough but if we are to sign someone then i'd rather go for another young player than a veteren.

Josh Wright fits the bill for me.

He's 21.

He's 6 foot.

He's got 120 games under his belt which is pretty good for a player of that age.

He's played for England u-16, u-17, u-18, and u-19.

He captained the u-16 and u-17's.

He's available for nowt.

What is there to think about?

If he was one of our youngsters we might be raving about him.

i think theres a shortage of obvious centre forwards at the moment.

Ricky Lambert - can't afford, and they wouldnt sell

Charlie Austin - too late

Steve Howard - you'll all say is too old

Rob Hulse - ditto

Dave Kitson - I like but doesnt score many these days

then looking at who has moved......

Adam Rooney - people wouldnt have been satisfield with a freebie, but he actually looks ok

Marlon King - ditto

Craig Mackhail-Smith - £3m is an awful lot of money for him

Miller or Earnshaw - we'd have gone mental

Glen Murray - another freebie we'd moan about

Chris Brown - ditto

Dele Adebola - lol

Nathan Ellington- no comment required

Chopra - p1sshead

Nugent - yeah but we can't compete with Leicester at the mo

Darius Henderson - maybe but he's been injured alot

Iwelumo - maybe but not inspiring

or I suppose we could've kept Varney?

In other words.....no championship club has really beaten us to anyone we'd really want

I'd have been very happy with Hulse or Earnshaw back by the start of pre-season...... :o

Get Hulse in on loan. Might aswell, till we find the striker that we want. Wouldn't mind looking at Clayton Donaldson at Crewe too......

....then there's them we were supposed to be interested in signing last season....

Paul Hayes - freebie to Charlton - obviously we weren't interested

Wilf Hoskins - gone to Brighton - obviously we weren't interested

Craig Davies - freebie to Barnsley -ditto

players released by the prem clubs....

John Carew - no chance

Diomansy Kamara - no chance

Eddie Johnson - remember him....

Eider Gudjohnsen- would've been nice - wishful thinking

not really missed any there.....

In a heartbeat, possibly more of a nob than Bowyer, that's an argument for another day. The fact is, if this guy wasn't such a nob, he'd be a regular contender for the England squad.

Would want to much money, and will have bigger clubs than us wanting him.

The twins.....Lars and Sven Bender

Two highly rated German players. Will suit our brand of total football.

http://www.jungloewen.de/jl/images/07_bender_zwillinge

Sven Bender (born 27 April 1989 in Rosenheim) is a German footballer who plays for 1860 Munich. He won the bronze medal of the Fritz-Walter-Award. His twin brother Lars won the gold medal. Along with his brother Lars, he was part of the Germany U-19 side that won the 2008 UEFA European Under-19 Football Championship.

I know that they're twins and that Sven was born on April 27th 1989 but does anyone know when Lars was born?

Sven Bender is a regular for the German title winners, Borussia Dortmund and is capped by Germany. Hardly realistic.

strange looking twins too

I believe this information is old.

Sven plays for Borussia Dortmund, played 50 games for them thus far. He also has a cap for Germany.

Lars plays for Bayer Leverkusen and has played 47 games for them. He is yet to be capped by Germany.

As for the birth dates... Go to bed son, its been a long night.
